Many bikers appear not to care for their own safety judging by the way they weave in and out of traffic, even creating their own lane in between the designated lanes. This makes switching lanes hazardous for both drivers and bikers. The problem is almost zero enforcement by the TP.

true. bikers should always be mindful of their own safety. accidents cannot be prevented but it can be minimized. in many instances, bikers contribute to the problem by riding dangerously. the way they weave in and out of traffic seems as though they don't value their lives. or maybe they don't... i dunno.

Now wouldn't be a good time to buy a car. It's also a no-no to buy cars on loans.
Save up your money and wait for the next recession. The COE may drop substantially but knowing how PAP likes to cheat, they may pull a fast one just like what KBW did during COVID.

been riding for close to 50 years and countless minor accidents, not many females have situation awareness, they are simply not built to be bikers, they see on social media how cool it is to ride. but the reality is motobikes in spore especially during peak hours are damn fucking dangerous with all the cement mixers and lorries rushing around like mad dogs........

Better avoid riding once you can afford a car. Car is Ti Bao Lang (metal wrap body) while bike is Lang Bao Ti (flesh wrap metal) LOL.

I live offshore. My kids got their driver licenses before 18. They can drive sedan, SUV and large MPV. Everyone drives with four cars safety distance here. No motos here coz it is too cold and no m&ds will like to live here coz not Islamic enough. Song boh?

There are still many young people, and many females going for riding license and boasted in their tik tok.


All are very clueless and naive people, and doesn't know they will be eventually killed one day by lta aka pap.

A note to all fathers.

Please disallow your daughters to ride a motorcycle in Singapore. The driving culture has changed tremendously from 20 years ago. Now, it is dangerous. More vehicles are on the road. And vehicles move closer together giving little time for response.
I quit motorcycles because of it, what more a female whose spatial awareness, and response and decisive actions is much lower than mine?

Fathers, save yourselves from the heartache of losing your daughters. It is just a matter of time they will get into an accident.

While they were still living in Singapore, they each have full access to a car for their own use. Now that they are no longer living here, I've sold off all except one for my use. I don't hoard money. I spend it when I see it makes life more comfortable. It's just a tool. And you can't bring it with you.
