SAA was led by Loh Lin Kok for donkey years. Lots of politicking. Then came Tang Weng Fei, a good buddy of Ho Peng Kee. Same same. Now, Sng Sze Hiang will be up against Tang. Standard keep going southward even with FT. Maybe it is time for a MIW to lead the SAA?

It took them 40 years to break PCsuppiah 10000 metres record. What shame.

Triathlon Assn also like that, led by some haolian Mark Tay some years ago go triathlete die during national trial because no CPR was administered but in the end rope Teo Ser Luck in to fight fire and lucky the deceased family didn't sue

Why no one challenge the Mat mayor who heads the FAS? My kakis tell me he is the worst of the lot which included Ho Peng Kee and Maboke Tan. Both soccer and track & field not only stagnant but went down. Sad case. Badminton, ping pong, soccer and a few others grabbed by MIW. Just curious why they didnt grab all.

Just recently 400m record broken after 30 plus years. I think high jump record in '73 still around. Nor Azhar 2.12m at the '73 SEAP games in S'pore.

That's why Singapore football is heading nowhere.

At least get an experienced coach or former player to take charge of FAS. Don't get these cronies and politicians who talk a lot but can't execute.

In the 70s, Ganesan did well as FAS boss. Lawyer. Current Tampines boss is best bet to lead the FAS. Very passionate.

Im sure there are several more unbroken track and field records from the 70s. In fact some current women's records have surpassed our men's. Like pole vault. And maybe triple jump. Damn Lao kui.
