Ms Ngiow said that he is one of the "fastest-rising politicians" in recent history: "You really need a doctor to helm the Wuhan Plague response else the others will screw it up."
Money Tong will stay on Culture, Community and Youth Minion but will replace Ah Chan as deputy chair of the Peasants' Association. This will give him "more opportunities to explain to peasant youths why 1 million peanuts annual ain't enough for him to feed his small family and parents", said Dr Koh.
