This is the result of digging too much.. Every day I see the installation of undergound cables, road works everywhere around the island that lead to massive road congestions..

15m crack could split Singapore oldest clan building

Construction for MRT lines is threatening a second heritage building in Singapore.

Singapore's oldest Chinese clan building, Ying Fo Fui Kun have had serious cracks appear in it since January, 2009. Old ones have also widened in the 188-year-old building in Telok Ayer Street.

Dozens of cracks, some as wide as 5cm, became visible on both the interior and exterior of the building - which was gazetted as a Singapore National Monument in Dec 1998.

Too much concrete until water cannot flow naturally into the ground and sea. That's why nowadays, so easy to get ponding. Pappies continue to dig lor, see when the whole sinking land really sink. When the time come, please don't say this is once in 50 years hor.
