Mr Ello Ed Mundsel Bello wrote that Singaporeans are "loosers" (losers), and that he was "praying that disators (disasters) will strike Singapore". In a statement to the media on Friday night, TTSH said Mr Bello had joined the hospital in October and was under probation when he made the "offensive online comments".
During its investigations, the hospital was alerted to and received earlier online posts by Mr Bello, including "an offensive Facebook comment on Singapore", and "two offensive comments on religion on his Google Plus page".
Mr Bello confirmed that he had made these three posts, despite having earlier told his employers that he had reported to the police that his Facebook account had been hacked. He was then dismissed.
"These comments were highly irresponsible and offensive to Singapore and religion," said a TTSH spokesman. "They have distressed members of the public and our hospital staff. His conduct goes against our staff values of respect, professionalism and social responsibility. As a public healthcare institution, we take a very serious view and have zero tolerance on conduct that is offensive and detrimental to multi-cultural harmony in Singapore.
"Our decision for dismissal is independent of the ongoing police investigation of the more recent alleged posts made in January 2015. We are still in full cooperation with the police on the alleged comments."

So, its obvious The Tagalog Speaking Hospital did not bother to do too much investigating into its initial statement that the Asshole's website was hacked. Its now clear that it was not and in fact, other netizens almost immediately found prior offensive postings by this asshole. TTSH very quickly came to his defence and now it seems its made worse by admission that their earlier statement regarding the hacking was not correct.

These pricks in TTSH are actually quite cunning. They fired this guy while police investigations are ongoing. In firing him, his work permit is no longer valid. He has to/can leave SG. And even if they find him guilty of original investigation and for making a false report, every mother and his dog know that this Ello fella will not return to face trial.

I am afraid that this is one thing we have to lay squarely at his door.

A person in his position has immense influence. His office is given immense dignity. The state institutions protect this while giving him the benefit of every doubt. The mere hint of impropriety is enough for him to sue and obtain satisfaction. He should also be paid according to the immensity of his responsibility and the level of ability it requires. At this point I have to say I agree with all this.

Now why should we give all this respect and rewards to him. Not for nothing. He is responsible for the well being of the country. He is supposed to protect the freedom of opportunity of citizens ( not residents ) and to uphold the constitution. We progress faster when he can do his job unimpeded.


However, to place foreigners on equal standing with citizens and worse to allow denigratation of citizens who are trying hard to make their lives better is unheard of in any other country. The gross impudence of foreigners in our country is a direct response to the signals they perceive from the government. They are indispensable.

To this we should say " Ello Ello ? . Yes this is a farce. In fact it is tragi-comic. You mean to say a country with one of the best educational systems in the world, immense reserves, excellent infrastructure, competency in English, an eviable location in a region with immense potential, plus a people with tremendous trust in their system, cannot pull ourselves up with our own bootstraps. We can benefit from importation of good talents, to be sure, but mass immigration of substandard workers cannot raise the competency of the country. I am afraid the real shortage of talent is at the top. Not that they are not individually excellent. They are. However, as a team, they really need to provide much more value.

The practice of "Hard truths" have to be applied to the leaders just as much as to the people.
