泰國清邁塔佩門（Tha Phae Gate）擁有700多年歷史，是當地的地標建築之一，18日卻遭兩名外國遊客噴漆塗鴉，警方調閱監視器畫面後，循線在旅館逮捕兩人，由於他們涉嫌破壞考古遺蹟，恐將面臨10年徒刑。

綜合外媒報導，事發之前，英國23歲男子弗隆（Lee Furlong），和另一名加拿大遊客施奈德（Brittney Schneider）在酒館喝酒，根據監視器畫面，醉醺醺的兩人離開酒館後，於凌晨4時出現在塔佩門附近，隨後弗隆用噴漆在古牆寫上「利物浦人李（Scouser Lee）」，施奈德則噴了一個字母「B」。

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai police said today that two tourists from the UK and Canada were accused of painting graffiti on the historic walls of Chiang Mai, a city in northern Thailand. Once they are found guilty, they will face up to 10 years in prison.
