long post sorry i need to give full context

i live in an old neighbourhood and have been for the past 20 years. right downstairs is a small hawker with a mini mart that’s open for 24 hours. for many years, it’s been a quiet neighbourhood despite the surroundings until few years ago (2020? around there).

the hawker downstairs underwent a major reno and hired new people for the stores. they’re so noisy throughout the day it actually is driving me crazy. For years the tze char store would play EDM music from 6pm-11pm on full blast and singing along + shouting + cook aggressively loud.

i complained on the One Service app once but nothing happened so i gave up and suck it up until someone from the neighbourhood complained (not sure to the police or to MP) and they evidently were pissed off bcs they started to do their dishes very loudly, banging plates and cutleries bcs they were unhappy about not being able to play music. someone even shouted shut up and they responded with vulgarities lol. the music eventually stopped tho but they still talk and converse very loudly which is fine and tolerable since only a few hours of the day (6-1030pm).

That was until a few days ago the western stall hired a new guy and he too started playing EDM music on full blast, on and off starting from 10am all the way till 7pm. it’s also driving me insane bcs they play the same music everyday LOL and bcs i wfh 3-4 days a week… closing my windows don’t help with the noise.

on top of that, deliveries for the minimart comes non stop during the day (which is fine whatever, deliveries have to arrive somehow) but also between 12am-2am and the truck engines are insanely loud. The small road where they load/unload is between 2 blocks so the noise bounces and amplifies. i feel like im going insane bcs i cant get peace in this neighbourhood.

i just want to know if anyone is also experiencing/has experienced this in their neighbourhood and if you’ve successfully gotten help from an MP or from somewhere. i’m not sure if this warrants a call to the police (idts) hence i haven’t called and also don’t want to waste public resources.

Aside from telling me to move (my family is already actively applying for new housing), or telling me to suck it up bcs i have been for the past 5 years or so, i just want to know if there’s any solution to this….otheriwse nvm i rlly continue to suck it up lor.. TIA

TLDR: neighbourhood too noisy during day and night from hawker and deliveries to mini mart. what can i do? complain to mp/call police etc?
