Dr Lim Hock Siew passed away last night. He was arrested under Operation Cold Store in 1963 and was detained without trial for nearly 20 years before being released in 1982.

He did not sign any confession. He only agreed to give up armed struggle and he was not exiled. In 1981, he decided to give a full account or at least his version as other players began to do so and it was right to protect his interest. His however is sealed and will not see daylight.
