As there is still time till the next election, there is an opportunity to really dig deep and determine with some confidence the viability of Desmond as a candidate for the opposition held Potong Pasir.

As it stands, the guy selling duck rice formerly at buona vista is better known.

The following needs to be done real quick:
- chiam having endorsed Desmond must allow the latter to raise his public profile on party matters and on all political issues
- politics is about issues and unless Desmond raises issues and becomes associated with those issues, the campaign ship will be going nowhere
- loyalty, good office and task management means nothing more than a hill of beans in the world of politics. The order of the day is to be a politician or resemble one.
- one of Desmond's advisors is a dipstick that dropped the ball during a parliamentary enquiry and looked like a helpless deer caught in the headlights of a slow moving car. Might want to cast the net wider and talk to other established players. Do talk to Maurice.
- Lastly please do something about the press release on jbj's demise. Its riddled with typos that a harlot having seen a 3 tonner doing u-turn you know where will pale in camparison.

Even if it were to emerge a figure of the stature of a "Walking Tall with a baseball bat", without an accompanying factor of citizens pushed beyond the threshold of tolerance, to take it to the streets and quashed the image of absolute hold over the people through carrots and sticks deviousness, the outcome will still be as predictable as the sun will rise in the East tomorrow morning. Until that happens, all that could be inflicted upon this regime can only be constant embarrassment and they seem to have developed bullet proof skin to counter that apparently.

The voting population of Potong Pasir has dropped below 15,000, almost half of the SMC average. There's a real possibility, that it may be merged into a GRC.

Dear Scroobal

Unfortunately Media relations, PR , Political Communications have not been a strong suit of all the political parties save the SDP and supporters. It is also unfortunate that the the flip side of such skills include swiftboating and character assassins and that only extends to the supporter fringe as you and I can see.

Mr Lockeliberal:

Are you making use of this opportunity to take another cheap pot shot at SDP again ?

Lets hope that People of PP continue to stand tall and firm against the goal post shifting behemoth.

That is indeed sad. Somehow I feel that the PAP will not do it as the negativity will be too strong to overcome. The backlash might hit across the marginal GRCs.

How about Mrs Chiam and Kunalan?

By pass process?

I understand that ms chiam and not mrs chiam is still a possibility. Kunalan fancies himself as Rasputin, chief advisor, king maker etc. I will die of shock if his British wife allows him to stand.

Not sure if you remember that from the very start, Chiam was noted for his lack of PR skills etc. He was however a politician and that came across very strongly as they associated him with issues. The one that got across the line was his constant question of true cost of HDB flat - something that is still part of the official secrets act.

If Kunalan were really going to stand, i could be one of those bugging his phone asking him why.......

The depth of despicableness that some will stoop to has yet to be seen.
