Singapore strategic trade location made redundant by the Internet especially B2B websites like Alibaba.com & online retailers like Amazon, ASOS, etc. The way that human capital has restructured also affected the job market & demand.
Opportunities have changed to more knowledge-based pursuits & entrepreneurship challenges instead of job seeking. Read the business section & you’d realized that employers are laying off & retrenching more people than before. Singapore’s crony capitalist structure i.e, GLCs & high cost structure are obstacles to emerging new industries. The PAP are themselves responsible for Singaporean’s jobless situation – don’t blame it on globalization.
The PAP is pursuing a dead-end & brain-dead economic doctrine of using massive, cheap foreign labour on one hand & a high cost land-influenced policy on the other. The cream is MAS supporting a high SIN$ exchange rate to keep the show going. You see, even the casinos are now feeling the effect of the global slowdown. Cheap foreign labour & expensive real estate are a volatile mix in a downturn.
Don’t waste your time with this psychological indoctrination camp. It will only make one more stupid & receptive to PAP lies & propaganda. It’s your life & your choice!
