In a heated exchange with a commenter on the Facebook page of PAP’s feedback platform Reach, a fervent PAP supporter and active IB, Desmond Chua Aik Hong, revealed what could well be the true nature of a PAP voter: they do not mind being a dog for the Party as long as they perceive it to be good to them.

So that’s what the “silent majority” really is? A group of docile and loyal voters who will continue to vote the PAP as long as it continues to dish out goodies?

Editor’s note: Mr Chua posted the following comment on PM Lee’s Facebook some time ago, telling Singaporeans to appreciate PAP:

People should appreciate what the government has done for the people and the country. Take public housing for example, it should be a about simple basic housing, and we should be happy in getting just a simple 3 room flat. Instead government is giving us more choices.

We have the choice of bigger unit, private condo liked EC project and amenities. We are even given 2 times to buy a public housing unit directly from HDB. I can’t think of any country where the government provides public housing benefits and choices to its people in such a scale like ours.

Some complained they are homeless, but didn’t confess they had already used up the 2 entitlements of buying direct from HDB. They twice make profit, eventually mismanaged their fund and ended up homeless, and start to blame the government for not helping them. If this group people deserve help then I would also like to sell my house for a profit and seek help from the government.

There are many other instances when people make complaint, like inflation. We import almost everything we need here and exporting countries are raising prices for there products and every country is facing this inflation problem.

Please have a thought of what we are enjoying here, despite the small land we have, the lack of natural resources, except its small population, the multi-racial and multi-cultural society we live in.

DESMOND CHUA AIK HONG

Don't flatter yourself. Your master ain't good at all. If you're a dog, just admit you're a dog and spare us the moral high horse.

Doggies like Desmond love being abused by their owners..

I totally agreed and understand how you feels Mr Chua Aik Hong Desmond, Supreme Leader Kim Jong IL is also a good owner, all his NKorean dogs cried for him. :(

These are simpletons who will one day come to the stark realisation that they have been screwed real deep.

He obviously failed to fathom that inflation is largely domestically driven by sky high rental and government charges. Imported inflation is but a meagre percentage of total inflation.
An excellent example of this. Crude oil price dropped by nearly 50% and our pump price dropped just under 8% because petrol stations are leased out to pump operators on a 30 years lease by HDB at a staggering over $80 million for a small plot.

We have been promised a nation of up-graders during Goh Chok Tong’s era as a PM, from basic rental flats to 99-years lease 3-room flats and upwards.

We were on our way to upgrading and today we are fast becoming a nation of down-graders under PM LHL to pigeon holes “studio apartments” on a 30 years lease (some call “death houses” not unlike the Chinatown Sago Lane days).
Reverse mortgage, lease-buy-back, rent out rooms and share your miserable existence with scumbag foreigners PRC, Pinoys etc. are the mantra of the current government.

This is like living in dogs’ kennels, not even a pedigree but a downgraded to a pariah.
Is this the dog life we aspire to?

It’s moronic to even think of being a dog in the first place.

If our education system churns out such unthinking and conditioned goons like these we will soon be taken over by the flood of foreign migrants who will lord over us. This is already happening.
It is imperative that we must chart a new course of life with the opposition parties to rebuild a Singapore that we truly belong the next general election.

I have been reading Tre since 2007, and this article on Chua Aik Hong Desmond really tops everything.

A thinking human being willing to stoop to the level of Dog, self proclaiming himself to be a Pap Dog and proud of that. Dogs are after all, beasts, and can be bought over integrity and all, for a piece of meat. Is this the worth of Desmond, what a cheap spineless human, might as well not be born. Sicko pap dog. I wonder how many such creatures are there in sg.

Sounds like what i expect to hear from a malaysian.
