    白宮請願網站「WE the PEOPLE」自香港反送中運動爆發以來,至少近百件相關請願申請成案。若在提案30天內,獲得10萬人連署,美國政府就必須在連署設立之日起算60天內,對議題做出正式回應。

  • 請願連署 控「逃犯條例」危害人身安危
    在5月中香港反送中運動尚未爆發激烈衝突時,已有民眾在白宮請願網站,就「逃犯條例」指出其危害香港人民的安全與自由,敦促美國政府表達反對立場。該案在時限內獲得13萬連署。

  • 撤銷「挺送中」官員簽證 2天破門檻
    隨著6月之後反送中示威規模擴大,7月更升級至警民暴力衝突。7月11日有民眾透過白宮請願網站,呼籲美國國會針對支持「逃犯條例」的中港官員,撤銷其美國公民身分。該提案2天內就獲20萬連署。

  • 請求國際人道救援香港 多案成立
    7月21日元朗白衣人襲擊事件後,有民眾在白宮請願網站指出,香港警方已然失控,請求國際人道援助保護香港市民。更有人提案要求美方,立刻限制建制派議員何君堯及其親屬的簽證資格。相關多項請願提案,皆過10萬門檻。

  • 將港警列恐怖組織 16萬人響應
    8月起,陸續再有多份連署於白宮請願網站成案,指控香港警隊對民眾濫用暴力,甚至縱容黑幫份子毆打示威者,呼籲將港警列為恐怖組織,該提案亦獲16萬人響應。

  • 請求美國出兵、保護香港 皆過門檻
    9月中有民眾在白宮請願網站提案,指出港警濫權開槍、施放催淚彈已與謀殺無異,請求美國出兵香港拯救受困的港人,該提案獲得13萬連署;隨後,甚有民眾請願,盼川普將香港列為保護國,亦獲過門檻支持。

  • 請求醫務部隊救港人 也逾14萬人支持
    由於香港警察大量於人口稠密的街市或住宅區施放催淚彈,民眾於白宮請願網站表示,許多居民無以前往當地醫院就醫,故請求美國派出醫務部隊支援,向香港市民提供人道醫療救助,該案獲得14萬人支持。

  • 港警圍堵大學 白宮一日破10則請願文
    11月12日「大三罷」行動中,港警與香港中文大學群眾發生激烈衝突,造成大量傷者,更傳出有記者中彈。當日白宮請願網站出現逾10則請願,要求美國積極介入。同樣情況也出現在18日香港理工大學的警民衝突之後。

上述請願雖已成案,但都未獲白宮回應。事實上,川普上任後幾乎不理會此請願網站,甚至一度關閉,重啟後回覆緩慢,甚至無回應。不過,美國眾議院已在上月通過《香港人權與民主法案》,目前正交由參議院審理。

Since the White House petition website "WE the PEOPLE" has exploded in the Hong Kong Repatriation Campaign, at least nearly one hundred petitions have been filed. If 100,000 signatures are obtained within 30 days of the proposal, the US government must formally respond to the issue within 60 days of the date of establishment of the signature.

Petition petitioned to charge "Fugitive Offenders Ordinance" to endanger personal safety

When the Hong Kong Repatriation Movement did not erupt in mid-May, there were already people on the White House petition website, stating that the "Fugitive Offenders Ordinance" threatened the safety and freedom of the Hong Kong people, and urged the US government to express its opposition.
