Hong Kong Security Bureau: 12 rioters in Hong Kong were subject to criminal coercive measures in the mainland
2020-08-28 22:08
(observer's online news) Guangdong Coast Guard recently intercepted 12 illegal cross-border personnel who wanted to abscond from Hong Kong to Taiwan. The Hong Kong Security Bureau said today that these 12 people had been subject to criminal coercive measures in the mainland.
Hong Kong police report on mainland criminal coercive measures
According to Hong Kong's "east net" on August 28, Guangdong Coast Guard intercepted 12 illegal cross-border personnel who wanted to abscond from Hong Kong to Taiwan on August 23. The identities of the people concerned were gradually exposed. Except Li Yuxuan, a member of "Hong Kong Story" who was arrested with Li Zhiying, a member of "one media" and suspected of violating the national security law of Hong Kong, all the other arrested persons were suspected of being involved in the case of "amendment disturbance", two of whom were charged riot.

A spokesman for the Hong Kong Security Bureau said on the 28th that the Hong Kong police had been informed of the criminal coercive measures taken against 12 Hong Kong residents and would understand their situation. The police will inform their families of the fact that they are subject to criminal coercive measures in the mainland as soon as possible, and the Hong Kong SAR government will provide appropriate assistance according to their wishes.
The arrested include 11 men and 1 woman, aged from 16 to 30 years old. Among them, 5 are students. The other occupations include surveyors, mechanic technicians, shop assistants and unemployed persons. According to the sources, all of them are in the body or are wanted, including Li Yuxuan, who is suspected of colluding with foreign or foreign forces to endanger national security and launder money. He was arrested by the National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police on October 10, and was released on bail after being detained.
Among the remaining arrested, four were members of the Dragon slaughtering team, including those charged with involvement in the Locke road gasoline bomb case in Wan Chai last December and the bomb case at Wah Yan College. It is understood that Zhang Junfu, Zhang Mingyu and Yan Wenqian were arrested in the Huaren college bomb case.
Two 17-year-old students and another man on board were involved in the seizure of gasoline bomb raw materials in a unit by the police in September last year. Two youths were suspected to be connected with a case of ammunition and offensive weapons in December last year when police seized semi-automatic pistols, more than 100 bullets, bullet proof vests, telescopic sticks and fireworks.
There was also a man on board who was charged with manufacturing explosives in a suspected DNT case in Sheung Shui village house farmland in January this year. He was released on bail and was not allowed to leave Hong Kong. He was subject to a curfew. The only woman on board has been wanted by the police for suspected involvement in the Sheung Shui explosive case.
According to the source, they took a speedboat arranged by Hong Kong gangs and set out from Po Po o o, Sai Kung. They intended to sneak into Taiwan and apply for "political asylum". However, they were intercepted in the mainland waters off the Guozhou islands and are currently being detained by the Shenzhen marine police detachment for investigation.
Taiwan Mainland Affairs Commission: illegal entry is both illegal and risky, "never encourage"
Taiwan has become one of the destinations for Hong Kong criminals to evade legal sanctions since the "incident of amendment" in Hong Kong. The Taiwan authorities launched the so-called "Hong Kong humanitarian aid care action project" in June this year, but stressed that the object of assistance must be "legal entry".
However, some Hong Kong media have disclosed that there has been an increase in smuggling from sea to the mainland recently, some of them are smugglers and people who evade the detection of new coronavirus; some are suspected to have participated in illegal and violent demonstrations in the "amendment storm", who sneak into the mainland under false identities, and then wait for the opportunity to transfer to Taiwan for "asylum".
On the 28th, the Taiwan media "China Times" revealed that in late July, a ship carrying five Hong Kong criminals was seized by the Taiwan authorities. The smuggling of these five people to Taiwan has made Tsai ing Wen's authorities feel quite difficult. If they are taken in, it will be like "political asylum", which can also involve the "crime of collusion with foreign or foreign forces to endanger the state" in the Hong Kong national security law. However, if they are repatriated to Hong Kong, they are expected to be arrested immediately, violating the so-called "commitment" of the Taiwan authorities. Therefore, the Taiwan authorities have issued a "password" to prohibit the outflow of information.
Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Commission did not want to confirm the information disclosed by the China times, but did not deny it. Qiu chuizheng, a spokesman for the Mainland Affairs Commission, said on the 27th that "there is no such information to provide.".
Qiu chuizheng also said that illegal entry is both illegal and risky, and the Taiwan authorities "will not encourage them". However, if they seek help from the Taiwan authorities due to "political factors", the latter will deal with relevant cases in accordance with the existing laws and regulations and the so-called "humanitarian principle". He called on people concerned to abide by the law and not to violate the law.
