香港保安局发言人28日表示，香港警方已接获有关12名香港居民被采取刑事强制措施的通报，会了解他们的情况。警方会尽快把这些人在内地被刑事强制措施的事实通知其家人，香港特区政府会按其家人意愿提供适切的协助。
被捕者包括11男1女，年龄分别为16至30岁，当中有5人为学生，其他人职业包括测量员、机械技工、售货员、无业人士等。消息指出，各人均有案在身或正被通缉，包括涉嫌干犯勾结外国或者境外势力危害国家安全及洗黑钱罪行的李宇轩，他于本月10日被香港警方国安处拘捕，经扣查获准保释候查。
其余被捕者中有4人是“屠龙小队”成员，包括被控涉嫌参与去年12月湾仔骆克道汽油弹案及华仁书院炸弹案等。据了解，涉及华仁书院炸弹案的被捕人为张俊富、张铭裕及严文谦。
两名17岁学生和另一名同船男子涉及于去年9月，被警方在一个单位内搜出汽油弹原材料。有两名青年涉嫌与去年12月一宗枪弹及攻击性武器案有关，当时警方检获半自动手枪、逾百发子弹、避弹衣、伸缩棍及烟花爆竹等物品。
艇上还有一名男子，涉嫌于今年1月上水村屋农田地的怀疑烈性炸药DNT案件，被控一项制造爆炸品罪，获保释及不得离港，须遵守宵禁令。艇上唯一女子则涉嫌与上水炸药案有关，一直被警方通缉。
消息指出，他们乘坐由香港黑帮安排的快艇，由西贡布袋澳出发，打算偷渡潜逃台湾后申请“政治庇护”，但在果洲群岛对开内地水域被截获，目前被扣留在深圳海警支队调查。
