香港一名26歲男子被控於「反送中」期間參與包圍警察總部，並襲擊一名便衣員警。法庭今天裁定男子暴動罪和普通襲擊罪成立，這也是「反送中」後首宗經法庭審訊定罪的暴動罪案件。根據港法律，暴動罪最高可判處有期徒刑10年。

2019年6月26日，大批示威者包圍位於灣仔的警察總部。綜合香港電台和商業電台報導，這名擔任裝修工人的岑姓男子被控當晚參與包圍警總，並在警總外毆打一名張姓便衣員警。
報導指出，這名便衣員警當晚前往警總上班時，被包括被告在內的示威者襲擊，警員之後拿起附近的角錐等清潔用品防衛。
報導指，法官批評被告利用警員意外撞倒女子的狀況，將自己的襲擊說成是防止犯罪、保護他人，甚至是自衛，都只是「削足適履」。法官稱，警員在敵眾我寡的情況下，不可能愚蠢到試圖攻擊任何人。
報導引述法官判詞指，被告承認當時和其他示威者正搬運雜物堵住警總出入口，明顯是嚴重擾亂社會秩序。
判詞又指，被告作出襲擊那一刻，就是將自己承認的非法集結，演變成暴動。
法官裁定被告暴動罪和普通襲擊罪名成立，稍後將聽取辯方求情。案件將在25日宣判。

On June 26, 2019, a large number of demonstrators surrounded the police headquarters in Wan Chai. According to reports from Radio Hong Kong and Commercial Radio, the man surnamed Cen, a decoration worker, was accused of participating in besieging the police chief that night and assaulting a plainclothes policeman surnamed Zhang outside the police chief.
The report pointed out that when the plainclothes policeman went to the police chief to work that night, he was attacked by demonstrators including the defendant. The police officer then took up nearby pyramids and other cleaning supplies to defend.
According to the report, the judge criticized the defendant for using the police officer to accidentally knock down the woman, describing his attack as preventing crime, protecting others, and even self-defense. It was just "cutting feet and fitting shoes." The judge said that a police officer cannot be stupid enough to try to attack anyone when the enemy is too few.
The report quoted the judge's verdict that the defendant admitted that he and other demonstrators were carrying debris to block the entrance and exit of the police chief, which obviously disrupted social order.
