Cabbies refuse to go to town after Orchard Road flood

STOMPer Babylove was confused when a cabbie refused to send her friend to Boat Quay because "the town area keeps flooding recently".

Babylove related the incident in an email:

"My friend was trying very hard to get a cab to go to work and finally managed to get one.

"She was very relieved but when she told the driver that she wanted to go to Boat Quay, the driver replied, 'Sorry but the town area keeps flooding recently'.

"He refused to fetch my friend to Boat Quay.

"This question was in my friend's mind - Is Boat Quay flooded too?"

There will be another "potential flood areas" surcharge coming soon.......

Since when Boat Quay flooded?, if it is so...then the lady should take the MRT to Esplande Station on the circle line, use the underground tunnel, go to SUNTEC & take the duck tour bus...

I think in the future, it will be the only way to get around Spore :D

You giving SAW & Sir Luck Ideas....during the YOG the duck tour buses will be commandeer by YOG for NATIONAL SERVICE, & SMRT will buy a few, in case the roads bordering the SMRT lines are flooded...:D

Bloody Krafty slacking off again. Oi, get off the forum and go do your job.

After intense investigations, we know that the flood was due to intense amount of Foreign materials clogging up the main drainage. These are known as Trash. We hereby announce that Singapore has been flooded by Foreign Trash (FT).

But they will turn around and tell you that the locals doesn't want to clear the choked drains of TRASH...so they will have to import another 100,000 trash to clear the trash...fasterer, betterer & cheaperer...:D

Shouldn't it be floated when flooded? ;)

It should have, but those amphibian vehicles are relic of the Vietnam War...should have floated...but it started taking in water.....:D

i wonder will the flood get so serious that it flood the underground mrt tunnel. THAT will be interesting. LOL
