If you do not have a house, a car and a high-income job, you can forget about being with these successful but unmarried women from China.

They sent out this message to men in a video uploaded on International Women's Day, depicting the sentiments of successful, unmarried women in China, towards men who think they are gold diggers.

In 2007, these women are officially termed as the 'leftover women' in China -- they earn more than the average men and are unmarried, often by choice, because they have higher expectations for their partners.

The song is in Chinese, but you can read the translated lyrics below. The music apparently features 'leftover women' in China.

One of the women in the video said:

"Men without cars or houses thinking we’re unkind and and we’re hurting their feelings? Haha, be more realistic! Because society is realistic like this!

"A man who makes money is fulfilling his responsibility, whereas a woman earning money adds to her value! Don’t accuse us of worshipping money [or chasing money, gold-digging], there’s no crime in worshiping money!"
