Asking whether NZ is an earthquake zone is akin to my asking whether Thailand is a riot zone.

I have given you more than a fair share of information and leads. Instead of sitting down and doing some of your own research based on a ton of info you've already been given, you've starting asking the most inane questions the answers to which could easily be found on the net with a 30 second search.

"How much does a meal cost?" is like asking "how long is a piece of string?". Click here for the answer and let us all know if you need to a bit more spoonfeeding.

Can you imagine the type of questions being asked by the 4500 Singapore applicants at the NZ High Com in Singapore? And those NZ Staff there at Ngee Ann City have to answer all the questions with a broad smile ending with a Sir or M'am.

Singaporeans are REALLY very ignorant of many matters pertaining to emigration and few have the skills at doing research- How else would Popular Book Store in Singapore be enjoying such brisk business selling 10 yr series and model answers.

i would like to ask if NZ has dangerous creatures like dropbear, bunyip and yowies.

As long as NZ doesn't start filling up with Sinkies who can't lift a finger to help themselves, it'll remain a choice location despite the dangers posed by the possibility of bunyips, yowies, bandicoots, greater bilbies and other obnoxious OZs hitching a ride across the ditch.

No need for broad smile, just use these questions as an effective filter to screen out these applicants as not suitable to emigrate and integrate into the new society. These are high risks immigrants who will land, suffer, complain, turn back, and tell everybody at home NZ no good.

Speaking or asking questions in SINGLISH at the NZ HIGH COM would make one completely incomprehensible to the NZ Immigration Officer working there, they might even need to call for an interpreter. Singaporeans should really learn to speak slower with correct grammar and enunciate their words clearly to circumvent the probem of having a different accent.

One wonders how many of the 4500 Singapore applicants would pass the ENGLISH TEST for immigration into NZ? A simple test on the use of ADVICE vs ADVISE would trip a great majority of Singaporeans pretty badly.

Dear Mr Kiwibird,

You have been very help indeed.. sometimes, I think by putting all the foods on the table and spoon feed them, will do more "harm" than good. It may be worthwhile to provide them with a few leads, to enable them to seek for the necessary tools to survive..

Those ppl who asked silly/brainless questions will suffer when they sit into the management team.. Highly competent Australians will not enagage into a stupid discussion..

we all come from that background and it will take time and events to wean out from it. just hav abit of empathy and patience, guide them along if possiblee but lay the ground notion that all must seek to be idependent.

Singapore immigarants mentality is sometimes = "ai ho, ai pee, ai chee syndrome"

They will be hit with reality, as their expectation is sometimes out of this world.

Hi

How can Takapuna , Milford be considered as "middle" ?
Million dollars of houses are in these 2 areas.

Gosh!

Yeah the beach front homes command a premium and there are many multi million dollar homes there.

I would have thought that Takapuna is one of the top suburbs too. Perhaps the list is not up to date or whoever compiled the list wants to buy a house there.

Singapore's latest motto is "cheaper, better, faster" so you can guess why they're all screwy up there.

You also have to realise that they pay millions of dollars for each minister per year and they still get monkeys so you can't blame Sinkies for their warped mindsets.
