Thinking of getting this model for daily usage: 2011 SEIKO SEAURCHIN SUBMARINER AUTOMATIC 23JEWEL, model: SNZF17K1

I had the old submariner with steel backcase, but thinking of getting this new one with glass backcase.

Does anyone here own one or can give an opinion on this watch? :)

Thanks in advance.

Bro, I think Seiko Submariner is a good reliable watch that can be worn for daily rugged use... But if you are into other brands with good reasonable price, do check out this German made brand Tauchmeister... I have been using their Diver watch for daily use to work for the past 1 year and so far it has proven to be durable and lasting... Bought myself one for less than $500 and so far no regrets.. :)

imho ....rolex submariner is a good deal .

But I don't want to walk around wearing a rolex :(

I like the simple look of this watch but confused with all the models ending with J and K, as well as the numericals that follow the alpha. Tried to find out but can't find the differences.

why sell your rolex ?

I had a 2005 Rolex GMT Master back then... Into some financial difficulities 2 years back, then I sold it to a 2nd hand watch shop.. Now, I aiming for Rolex SeaDweller DEEPSEA.. Bro any lobang for Rolex?

Go to "Chuan" at Golden Landmark hotel at:
www.chuanwatch.com.sg/

They have mainly pre-owned watches. Look for Henry, the boss, one of my closer friends/neighbour is his regular and swears by him.
Henry is a pretty good man, my friend still has the new SS GMT 2 he bought from him recently and he is very happily wearing it.

Chuan has IWC too for those so inclined.

Actually better pricing i would think would be in Hong Kong but gap is starting to close a bit now.

Is Henry the small skinny guy with the black mole?

Thanks alot Bro Wuqi... I think I did walked past the shop around this year while changing my money at the Money changer there... But I did not enter the shop while I was there... Will go to Golden Landmark and have a look as I'll be converting my SGD to RM at my usual money changer there before goin to JB next week... Thanks again for this info..:)

I've sold my Rolex Datejust to an uncle keen to buy. I bought Sovil et Titus Andy Lau 天长地久 edition at just a fraction of the price. What the hell, it just tells time.

His watches all comes with warranty if the original rolex one expired. He knows how to fix being an ex rolex guy. One time he helped changed my spring as me and my bros service there instead of Tong Building.

Indeed, its just a time piece but for some, its something different. Girls flaunt their wealth or the wealth of the man they are attached too using many different accessories made of gold, leather, etc. Almost every part of their body can be adorned with some symbols of wealth. Guys on the other hand, normally pen, watch, belt or shoes and the odd shirt or two. Some flaunt their cars, others their abs or even physical endowment, its always a display of something. Those who normally have them though, tend not to flaunt them.

For me, it was to celebrate something personal that i promised myself i would get. It then became a bad habit as in the end it grew to 39 pieces at one point.
Now, only 1 and mainly GMT 2 for me too. :)

The most successful man is the one who walk in plainly dressed and nothing adorned, but walk out with a pretty dame in his arms. ;)

Silver, gold, watches, bracelets, necklaces etc. are jewelry for women. Women are jewelry for men. :D
