MRT hero who stood up to bully uncovered

For once I have to agree with Jah.
Sg so deprived of 'heroes' that what simple deed this guy did Kena praise until the sky.
Sad state of affairs

I don't think it's the first time you have agreed with me. Anyway you forgot something. He's a malay. Just change him into a chinese and i can easily bet not that many people would thank him.

What to do? How often do u see a sinkie with balls? Most are castrated and voting for pap.

I can bet this is some type of plot for this guy to promote himself and indirectly promote malays unfortunately the low yat incident shows what m&ds are like.

How is it possible that his facebook account and name were published unless he gave them out. Unlikely that the video taker simply stumbled upon it. Just cheap publicity.

Employer should take action against man who threatened teen on MRT, says Shanmugam

SINGAPORE - The actions of an MRT commuter who threatened a teenager who was wearing an expletive-bearing t-shirt was an act of "unacceptable bullying", said Minister for Law K Shanmugam on Tuesday night.

Last week, a video of a man who started threatening a teenager, who reportedly wore a t-shirt which had the words 'I'm F--king Special', on an MRT train circulated widely on social media.

In the video, another man named Elfy stood up for the teenager and confronted the aggressor.

Yesterday, the Law Minister weighed in on the incident and called for the aggressor's employer to take action against him.

"Came across this video. Unacceptable bullying conduct. People like this are sick in their mind. And try and take it out on others. I hope his employer will take some action, against him - he brings his organisation into disrepute," Mr Shanmugam said in a Facebook post.

Mr Shanmugam, who is also Minister for Foreign Affairs, also praised Elfy for standing up for the teenager.

"Good to see someone, in this case Elfy standing up to this bully. His comments on the incident, that we are a multiracial society that should respect each other, are wise."

Mr Shanmugam linked to a report on Stomp that included Elfy's comments.

It's damn good to be a malay in singapore or a non chinese. Yes what he did was good but seriously the praising went overboard. There was another thread started on this incident and titled proof that malays are better sinkies all because what 1 malay did here. I suppose in future if a chinese does something similar it means all chinese are better sinkies right? No? Why the double standards?

Chinese will only help if they see some profits to be made from the event. Besides, many sinkies look up to ang moh. They too think the t shirt was too much. But the Malay guy stood up for more than all this. He stood up for freedom of expression. He stood up for individual rights. He stood up for LIBERTY!

If the guy was Chinese many will call him a chow ah Beng with bad English trying to gain some benefits by hustling the angmo.....

because angmo damn fucking special. like special school

Agreed, the reason for angmo's raged reaction was: How that asian boy can be more special than an angmo in Singapore?
