More NEPOTISM in Singapore -- S R Nathan's Daughter Appointed Supreme Court CEO

Jutika Ramanathan? She used to be the head of Registry of Companies and Businesses.
Then they pulled the professional accounting body under the umbrella of ROC and call it ACRA.
Essentially she covered both the ROC and the accounting body's regulation.

But that was obviously too small a job for her, hence the present CEO of Supreme Court... god knows what it means

A few questions...

1. Why does the Supreme Court suddenly need a CEO? Why didn't it need one before? What's her duties and job scope? So is she in charge or is the CJ the boss?

2. Is she the best qualified person for the job? Were others considered? Were others even aware that such a job existed or was going to be created? Do you need to be trained in the law or practice as a lawyer to be considered for this appointment?

3. Why wasn't it mentioned that she was the ex President's daughter?

THIS IS MEANS THAT IT MUST GENERATE SUFFICIENT SURPLUS AFTER PAYING FOR ALL THE COURT COSTS EG JUDGES'PAY AND RENTALS ETC.
IN ORDER TO BE PROFITABLE , THEY EITHER HAVE TO CUT COST EG JUDGES'PAY, IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY OR INCREASE INCOME.
THE SUREST AND EASIEST WAY IS TO INCREASE INCOME AND THIS CAN ONLY COME ABOUT WITH HIGH FINES IMPOSED.
AFTER ALL, THE MINISTERS WOULD ALWAYS SAY THAT THIS IS AFFORDABLE AND THAT MEANS THAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC CAN AFFORD TO PAY MORE AND HIGHER FINES.

That I remember, but if we were to think it this way:


If MSM starts to announce that she is Nathan's daughter before they even go on to touch on other points, the general public would have rejected her straight for the post, whether she is qualified or not, no? Hence, based on the position and the necessity of it, it would be better for the public to decide if there's really a need for this position, and if yes, who is qualified to take up the job. Since one bro here mentioned that she was formally in charged of small positions, I'm sure that there will be noises made on the basis that she is not qualified. If point 1 and 2 can convince to the general public that (a) there's no such need for this position and (b) based on her past appointments, she is not the most qualified person to hold the job if it's really a neccesity, it doesn't matter to me who she is. Even if she's chinese and related to LEE.
