AN 11-year-old Malaysian girl named Fatimah Noryyah has impressed aboriginal Taiwanese singer-songwriter A-Lin with a cover of her song A Kind of Sadness.
Sin Chew Daily reported that A-Lin, whose real name is Lisang Pacidal Koyouan, uploaded a video on YouTube on Wednesday of her reacting to covers of her own songs.

She was blown away by Fatimah’s rendition.
“This is amazing! And she’s only 11?” exclaimed A-Lin, 36.

She added that Fatimah resembled a younger version of herself.
“She has a powerful voice. Her facial expression and the emotions coming from her are just like when I was younger, ” she said in the video.
Several Malaysians praised Fatimah in the comments section, saying that she was “the pride of Malaysia”.
Fatimah is not new to the music scene, having taken part in Season Five of Chinese reality TV competition Let’s Sing, Kids! in 2018 as well as Jungle Voice 2 in 2019.
