MINDEF makes special allowance for PAP candidate

MPs are not exempted from reservist duty. When LHL was a Minister (or Minister of State), he attended reservist and saluted Winston Choo (who should otherwise have saluted him as an MP).

Incorrect. I remember clearly when BG Lee Hsien Loong was Minister of State for Defence, LTG (Lieutenant-General) Winston Choo saluted him during the National Day Parade. Not the way you described. BTW, BG Lee Hsien Loong was in civilian clothes. So many people could not see the disparity in military rank!

in saf, pap dogs become white horse and can do anything they want.

Good post. Reminds me of my days during NS, when the corporals used to remind us "Do you think what? Your father's army?"

these people give the term "You think this is your father's army?" a whole new meaning......

If it's directed at Pinky then yes, the army and whole fucking sinkapoor belongs to his old man harry.

My last reservist clash with olympics.

I told them 1st week i want to watch olympics but i promise to come back for 2nd half of 2 week stint. But they said like dat kanna db leh

On Monday, Dr Koh, the commanding officer of a battalion, was expected to pause his campaign for a few hours to go back to camp to address his 400 men. He will promise to return for the second half of the two-week reservist stint once campaign and post-Polling Day activities are over.

Why? Politicking is not his full-time job. Why is he given this special exemption? Here's another reason why he should not be elected. He keeps taking and give nothing back.

protocol wise....why would Winston Choo then CDF (CGS) need to salute MP or ministar? No person outside the chain-of-military-command is eligible for salute by armed forces chief except the President......techincally the commander in chief.

Who is the current president now? The cousin/uncle of the current prime minister.

When BG Lee was acting as Minister, Winston Choo saluted him. But when BG Lee went for reservist, he wore his one-star and saluted Winston Choo. I remembered vividly as BG Lee was wearing some kind of overalls.

Is dr Koh being paid (make-up pay comes from taxpayers money)during this one week of campaigning by mindef?

Since he is absent one out of the two weeks of the ICT, is he still considered to have completed the ICT?

Wah bro you defer for what reason?

Wife pregnant: they say not last 3 months cannot.

Studies: they say let you book out at 5pm to go study.

I know not all units are like that. This unit that in referring to has this unwritten rule also. No book out during ICT but if you drive, "we close one eye". If you never drive and try to walk out of the guardhouse, it means you AWOL. That's the fuck thing about this unit. When the unit almost failed ATEC, I was super happy. Can you imagine a group of commanders leading a battalion which was the best armour unit during their active time to almost failing ATEC during ICT?

for normal (read non 超级白 related) NSmen, missing 2 days or more during a High Key ICT will result in the ICT being void and the NSMen will have to redo his ICT.

How come this time his boss never tell him to come out and hantam WP?

They have many others to use and need to justify payments to these chaps. Cannot always load the captain with too much. Becomes too obvious then.

That means that those that don't drive would have been charged for AWOL unless they tompang somebody's car.

Did the commanders punish the men for almost failing?
