Casino - I heard rumors about this and that the site has been decided.
Theme Park (bigger name than LegoLand) - Possible. Perhaps the international destination resort is ready with some news

Now instead of early July; they change it to Q3 2013.

My action:
I will leave my deposit with them for the time being.
Knowing the contract have lapse we have all the right to get a refund anytime we want.
Upon releasing the S&P to me with the same price on my booking form; I will continue with my purchase.

At the meantime I bought Astaka as a hedge; just in case Matex project screwed up.
In life you just cannot get screwed because of someone else nonsense.

Note: Midwest Ave launch is now push back to August 2013 or later.

Astaka is really too exp for most of us (>2m?). And location is not so good and its freaking higher than sky88

I found some good deals via Internet but I'm not into condos so I didn't buy. Not sure why investors will want $1000 psf condos versus $500 psf very nearby. I think those waiting for the Matex durain to drop have to wait for a long time as I think developer is waiting for Medini launches to push up the psf.

Old condo like Wing Fong at S$800 while new launch at S$1100.

Pasir Ris FH now $800 new launch 99LH at $1100.

It is just a crazy world.

there are still condos at <rm500 psf near city but these are old and don’t have modern facilities like infinity pools etc. Guess it’s the hype and buzz over luxury condo living for the first time in JB that’s getting people drawn

Today, I went to City Square for leisure. Out of curosity, I went to the Midview show gallery office on 23-A for a look. The office was locked and seem unoccupied. I am a bit sceptical about this developer.

i didn't bother to ask when my friend told me about it. he claim he is doing business with developers and was given insider information- i shall take it as rumours until i see some real signs.

Where is the rumoured Casino site?

It is not a matter of if but when the QE programmes are stopped. Whether the recovery provided by the QE programmes is sustainable depends on two things:

a. have the roots of fear been weeded out sufficiently for the various entities in the system - businesses, consumers, etc. If most of these still exist, fear will still arise quickly and paralyse them resulting in another vicious cycle

b. has liquidity been sufficiently distributed throughout the system - the rich and powerful will always receive the biggest benefits of QE because they have more resources to begin with. However if the liquidity enhancing programmes have been run properly, even the remotest corners of the system should have received liquidity boosts thereby improving their spending/investment ability so that they can contribute to the proper function of the economy at large

look how the market shrinks now when Fed announced QE might cease
