Man shot dead near Shangri-La hotel Singapore

Are they suppose to shoot at the tyres to disable the car?....the shooter, have to write a report , on why the shot was fired....

They supposed to shoot the tires but boh boh, hit the man, anyway I think they did the right thing and the officer should be promoted.

The police have given warning to the driver to stop ...but he chose to ignore and crash through the barricades, endangering the lives of the officers.

What if the car has a car-load of bombs and it is heading towards Shangri La ?

The SPF has done the right thing to shoot after giving clear warnings.

A major security forum is held at Shangri-La hotel regularly. Given the sensitivity of the meetings, our city's finest have been ordered to be vigilant. They would not hesitate to take down any security threat, especially if it came from a sinkie or pro-opposition activist. I hope it was Roy or HHH behind the wheel and got shot.

And we hope it was you instead. Karma will haunt you for your evilness.

How do you know that the PAP-Press reported the truth?

Goes to show that SPF is serious about this summit, a normal mata can't shoot with such precision especially under extreme stress. From the pic, suspect the fella was aiming for the head and close distance.

A single bullet through the windscreen slays the criminal sinkie. It's far better than the average US cop who fires off half a dozen rounds from his Glock and still fails to stop a criminal fleeing.

Anyway, here's some action to lighten the mood.

That's a sign of no skill, done by amateurs.

many of the cops are gulf war veterans, and they are used to engulfing a target with overwhelming firepower at the slightest movement. they carry the best practice to their new "peacetime" roles in the police force. :D

One bullet is all that is needed to finish the job.

That is the standard of our elite SPF ! Dun play play !

while sinkie poodles exercised restraint and shot only 1 bullet, u.s. police shot 137 times at car occupied with unarmed couple after chase....

One possible reason is bullets are super cheap in the United Stasi of A. They cost next to nothing to manufacture.

The loser shot dead is a sinkie. So are the other two arrested. I was hoping that it was Roy that got shot, while bipoloar Ravi and Amos got tasered. But it's most probably some other sinkie losers instead. Well, we can bring in 3 more foreigners to replace them. No major harm done.

For once I agree with you Sinkie drug dealers ARE indeed LOSERS.

If it was the Mexican breed, they will open fire with auto, RPGs and anti tank missile and your Poodle I am afraid will be ashes.

Hope these Mexicano breed don't arrive at your Sinkie shore.

.22 caliber rounds for handguns are cheapest followed by 9mm rounds. for range practice, some guns can be converted to .22 to lower cost of ammo. for u.s. cops, it's not the cost but the practice of massive firepower in respond to a threat is ingrained in their psyche and training. at the range, i see them in practice, and they shoot to kill, never to maim or wound.

.22 can hit a car tyres?

SINGAPORE - Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said the police did "the right thing" in handling Sunday's incident near the Shangri-La hotel, where an annual security conference involving some of the world's defence ministers was being held.
In a Facebook post on Sunday afternoon, Dr Ng said the Singapore Police Force was vigilant to the fact that it could have been a terrorist plot.

National Honor medal for Best Shot of the Year.
