Man allegedly watches porn while in library
Satish Cheney

School students used to hide 'blue tapes' (as they used to be known) in VHS format in their bags and share it among their friends in the late 1980s.
Later on, you could find 'Ah Bengs' at bus interchanges with makeshift tables selling dodgy VCDs.
When the 21st century came around, the porn industry went online – and it seems there's nothing quite like porn when it comes to motivating certain uncles to become Internet savvy.
A recent post on citizen journalism site, STOMP, shows a middle aged uncle allegedly watching videos of girls making out.
Who cares right?
But the man was apparently doing it at a computer terminal inside the Pasir Ris Public Library.
'Aizat' wrote on STOMP: "I was studying for my examinations on Feb 19 when I noticed a man viewing videos of girls making out to the extent of groping each other's private parts. He was watching the videos for at least 30 minutes, and he left before I did. Others also noticed him watching the videos but they just looked away."
Maybe the guy couldn't afford an internet connection at home.
So, if there ever was a reason for folks to ask Internet operators to lower their fees even further - now's the right time – just in case our libraries become the new 'peep-show' venue for those who can't afford broadband.
