That's exactly the problem with the NZ parliament. They spend the whole session arguing, showboating and debating the most trivial of matters and because of this, the country remains stagnant. No long term plans are ever executed because all infrastructure projects end up politicised and buried in red tape.

If Singapore ends up in the same boat, the country is finished.

Even granting what u said is true, how then would it be any different from now? The PAP is not spending any time solving the country's problem nor planning for the long term either, in fact, the PAP is now busy creating problems both for the present and future.
