We've all seen the rising trend of people dying unnoticed in flats until neighbours smelled something's off. I know I'm gonna grow old single, but I don't want to pass away only to trouble the trauma cleaners a few days later.

I've read some suggestions like wearing fall tags which notify the next-of-kin when the user collapses. I also thought of putting out a calendar at the door and cross out the dates every day. That way, when I'm unconscious or even dead and some neighbour passes by the door and sees the uncrossed dates don't match the day, at least they know that something's amiss with me.

What other suggestions can there be?

Do not worry --- whether a person dies alone or is in the company of many.
It is preordained if a person will die alone or be surrounded by others.

After all the soul would have left immediately on the death of a person.
The only thing that remains here on this good Earth is the body.

One should be more concerned or worried of what comes after death.

Many religions promise you a direct flight to the Kingdom of God.
Some even promise you that your birth itself in a particular religion means you would go straight to the Kingdom of God.

The question is not which religion you profess but how have you behaved towards others or how have you lived your life on Earth while alive.

Let's say this person is very holy according to his professed religion. He can be anyone - a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh etc etc.
He goes to his place of worship everyday or says his prayers all the time but he just cannot control his hatred towards a person of another religion or any other religions.

Will he get a free passage to the Kingdom of God?

My view straight away is that this person's soul is filled with hatred which he has not been able to control or overcome during his present lifetime.
He has failed the test right away.

He did not pass his test during this lifetime. He was given a golden opportunity but failed miserably and will be escorted to the next world by the Messenger of Death to be judged by the Dharam Raj or the Righteous Judge (who is not God).

However, a wretched person may still be saved by Nadar or Divine Grace - where God bestows his grace to save individuals, despite their past -- but never take the chance to rely on Divine Grace.

So my advice is to be more worried and concerned about the next journey after this present life on Earth - which is acquired after many many lifetimes rather than a Lonely Death as a single.

No doubt it my be scary for some to die alone but use that time that we have when alone in total contemplation of God.
When you are in total contemplation of God, the fear of dying alone will be overcome.

Remember also that God would be watching you while you are alone and meditating on Him.
