Yes, I do. I discount a lot what LHL and pap members said. But after GE 2011, they may have learned to be more sincere. So, let us give them some rope for now. If they are still the same, then vote them out at the next GE

PAP is unsalvageable short of firing 90% of the people who make up the cohort. They are vindictive and I tell u, if you replace them, they will be like a woman scorned, spilling every national secret of Singapore to heal their wounded but unhealing pride. Most of them actually openly smear the opposition with defamatory remarks, claiming to know it all, when they know nothing. The arguments are based on first principle, which is waste of time. People who talk like that, think like that.

Yes, there's one in particular who gets his huge pay simply by making occasional motherhood statements like "We should help Singaporeans to get betterer jobs." Even a secondary school kid knows how to say that.

Never heard him say anything of value or substance, let alone come up with any good adviCe for ordinary Singaporeans.
The worst part is that his spoken English is atrocious.

The salary review comittee still appear very elitist and brush away Singaporeans suggestion to peg salary to average Singaporeans but instead used the top 500 highest paid salary as benchmark.:oIo:

Who else, except the ZORRO the worse labour union chief on earth. He makes the worker's lives miserable and when the times are bad, he sang funeral song at the new NTUC building in shenton way. When the times are good, he warned of salary inflation. There is no worker's union on earth like him to carry employers' balls everywhere he goes. Either way, he is a double-headed snake who felt richer every month thru sucking rich people cocks in the name of tripartite. Fortunately, Low Thia Kiang was able to use the snake's posion against the same snake and rendered him speechless in parliament.

As you can see, Singapore is doing very, very well compared to the rest of the world. Singaporeans have a lot to be thankful for. Sometimes you need to take a couple of steps back so you can view matters from a broader perspective.

I've said this many times.. no country is perfect. If you want perfection. You'll have to wait for the afterlife. In the meantime, Singapore comes pretty close to being the de facto standard of a well run and prosperous nation where everyone has an equal opportunity of being successful.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish PM Lee and his team all the success they deserve. They work hard and sacrifice much so that the rest of Singapore can be free of the worries that plague the population elsewhere in the world. For that, I am forever grateful.

Singapore is in a strong position, says PM Lee
He gives assurance Budget will be drawn up with economic situation in mind

The Government is watching closely for signs of an expected economic slowdown and will prepare the upcoming Budget accordingly, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday night.

Acknowledging growing worries that problems in Europe may hit Singapore hard in the Year of the Dragon, he sought to reassure Singaporeans that the country is in a strong position, compared to others.

'We know what we are doing and we will make sure that Singapore can get through this,' he said.

'But at the same time we should not panic, because this is not a big crisis, unlike 2008, 2009', he said, referring to the recent global financial crisis.
