I met Adam Khoo at Superteen camp. He was also in my BMT company at Nee Soon.
To start with he comes from rich family. I dunno about his father business go bust.
In life want to be successful cant be totally good and honest. If you do that you become mediocre. At best upper middle class.
Must be ruthless and traverse the grey area expertly.

He's your typical merchant in the business of selling hopes and dreams, who wants you to part with your money to buy a book, a course or a ticket for a seminar etc.

I can sleep well tonite knowing I am honest
I used to tell myself that. But I wasnt sleeping well. Instead I became more troubled and stressed.
You see in some things there isnt really a correct way or one right way to do things.
Often you do what your custoner or client tells you to do. You give them what they want.
Is that being honest? Dont think it is related.
If the audience and customer base wants to buy hopes and dreams is it wrong to sell it to them? Somebody will.
The buck might stop where it is illegal. Laws that state that is wrong.
But as you can tell there are many grey areas. Not everything is governed by law.
And even law.....is often argued in court and changed. Case in point the one where being insidie the polling station does not count as being within the km radius.
Most successful people will navigate the grey. They just wont admit it to anyone.

There is a short answer to this situation aka attrition. AWS cloud expects 20% churn per month so it will only deliver services enuff to keep 80% happy. The 20% haters will curse swear at Aws practices and high handed and perhaps dishonest practices but Aws is highly profitable pegging their pnl to 80%.
In the words of Steve Jobs, if u want to make people happy, dun be a leader. Sell ice cream instead.

Interesting. In the English language with Lies there is a verb - Lying or lie or lies. Lie is the noun.
But honest.....there is no verb.
So much more common to lie and be dishonest to the extent there is a verb for it!
