PEASANTPORE — In the false illusion of unprecedented rebel gains, the aftermath of the 2020 General Erection (GE) will also be a time of “soul-searching” for the way forward for the Labour Party (WP) in the next five years, as the ruling Party Against Peasants (PAP) won the GE 2020 War despite losing a few potato battles, said Labour chief 皮蛋 on Sunday (12 July).
Speaking to reporters in a virtual press conference alongside party chair Sylvia Lim at the party’s HQ, 皮蛋 was asked to comment on Kangaroo Law and Gestapo Minion K 山木庚’s remarks that it would be fomenting new dirty tricks to fix Labour and Jane Austen rebele after the 2020 Erection.
“In reality Labour won a few battles but lost the war. We are not able to win East Coast and PAP is not worried and is able cancel Christmas after Erection 2020.”
The 43-year-old lawyer, who made history by leading the Labour to claim 10 seats in Imperial Court with wins in Sengkang and Aljunied GRCs and Hougang SMC, struck a note of measured caution as he refused to bluntly conclude that Peasantpore’s opposition parties have failed to make progress during the Black Swan Wuhan Plague. The 37-year-old lawyer stressed that the team’s immediate priority is to sidestep any dirty tricks from the previous town council, even if they are led into believing they can set up for the brand new town council for the GRC. The PAP lackeys in Ang Mo Kio and Pasir Ris-Punggol town councils - which currently services the constituency - is relishing for a chance to teach Labour's Team Seng Kang a good lesson for humiliating Ruler Loong last Saturday. Their priority to ensure a problematic handover for managing agents, and has delayed handover meetings since Sunday.
Sengkang GRC consists of now-defunct SMCs – Sengkang West and Punggol East – and the Sengkang Central ward from Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC.
The team is also desperately looking for contractors and setting up a constituency Facebook account, said peasant He Ah Ru. 皮蛋 added that it typically takes two to three full moons before a town is gazetted and its Peasants' Representatives officially become councillors on the town council but never grassroots advisers.
Asked if the Labour will be setting up an Axis of Evil Town Council covering Aljunied, Sengkang and Hougang, 皮蛋 said, “If PAP lackeys succeed in creating trouble, then the mammoth town council will be thrown into chaos”
On the possibility of the GRC’s managing lackey agents pulling out, which happened when Labour won Aljunied in 2011, 皮蛋 said, “We are already desperately looking out for new contractors who have the conscience not to fear the PAP regime.”
The Labour chief also referred to a recently released guide by the Ministry of Planned Development for the handover of town councils, in the event of a change in political representation, and also prescribes a shady process for handling chaos created by the withdrawing local incumbent PAP cadres.
