Najib was PAP puppet. I wonder how much he got for bending over. All contracts signed benefit the other party. Including those with china. By not linking to jurong, i reckon the cost of construction is reduced by 30%,.

An agreement is an agreement in both the letter and the spirit. If Malaysia can change it whenever a new boss is in power then might as well say everything starts and ends in Malaysian territory. By ending in Johor, the whole character and purpose of the project is gone. Of course costs is reduced but that's not the point.

I would rather the Malaysia be stupid enough to stop the HSR at the tip of Johor.
Imagine the outflow of funds from Singapore to Malaysia by allowing easy access for labor to work in Singapore.

Imagine all these expat comes in and work in the day and travel back at night to various part of Malaysia KL or Penang or even Thailand. Couple with liberal open leg policy for anyone to come in to work. No industry wide protection for Singkie and made to compete with cheaper labor. There is no benefits for Singaporean as a whole except KL pay for the infrastructure building.

Of course. The HSR can have two end points. On in jb near RTS. And another in jurong. Tickets will be cheaper if you board in JB.

Already a lot of expat working in Woodlands and Tuas area are doing this. In JB horizon hill, their house is big and it costs only 2000 to 3000 singkie dollar to rent the house and house their whole family and get the quality of life.

Who say JB is unsafe? Small wonder why international school is mushrooming in Johor?

I was told it takes hours just to cross during peak time.

The HSR between Tokyo and Osaka is about 14 trains every hour one way. That makes it economical and profitable. Can we match that between KL and jurong?
Besides, after decades of experience, KL knows there will always be a surprise when dealing with PAP. When ktm land was exchanged for share certificates ( which cost just dollars) for 60% land ownership, PAP slapped KL with $1 bil in development taxes which was never mentioned.arbitration sided with KL on this issue.
