The worst that can happen is govt agencies telling businesses how to do business.
He can't even distinguish bloody cock from a cheebye. How can e.g. Design for Enterprises programme help groom more all-rounded designers when it is a programme to encourage local companies to integrate design into their business strategies?
This is the kind of gobbledygook and rubbish that Singaporeans thru the prostitute press are swamped with daily, and mindlessly absorbing them without questions.
If jewellers seriously are into design, they would have gone into it long ago, to Milan, Rome, or Paris for the best teachers and masters. Here only in Singapore, we have overpaid hotshot ex-paper generals become Ministers thru the backdoor telling business people how to suck eggs.

To help groom more all-rounded designers who can produce jewellery that appeal to customers, MG Chan said that the Government has put in place initiatives such as the Design for Enterprises programme to encourage local companies to integrate design into their business strategies.
Other measures include the Local Enterprise and Association Development Programme that is managed by Spring and International Enterprise Singapore to provide funding to various bodies such as the Singapore Jewellers Association to improve their capabilities and productivity.
