Just wondering the business acumen of some of the businesses. Look at Katong/Bedok area...Parkway Parade, Kinex, Katong Shopping Centre, Tanjong Katong Complex, I12, City Plaza, Paya Lebar Square, Paya Lebar Quarter, SingPost, Bedok Mall, Bedok Point, Katong Square, Katong V, Siglap Centre, East Village, Roxy Square, Djitsun Mall

Johore mall are resilient. Their low cost rental n staff can make it, even the bulk of business comes in on weekend. They can even give you 2 years free rental if your date commit

It was badawi who influenced developers to invest big time in jb as he tried to create a open border with singapore with no immigration and custom. A very noble idea. But najib put s stop to that, imposed higher limit a foreigner can buy homes in jb, insist visa required for day visitors from china creating jams and delays at border checkpoints for those visiting jb on day trips and that hefty toll raise for boder crossing.

It's good to create an open border with Singapore. Ordinary day trippers will benefit most.

JB malls definitely will survive thanks to Sinkies. Not only the malls. Massage parlour, spas, pubs, karaokes, food joints and basically every industry available in JB survive and prosper because of Sinkies.
