Mr Iswaran ACKNOWLEDGE that Traffic Police need a bigger presence on the roads...For some time now there has been many feedback that we need more Police presence in our streets and roads but our ministars were deaf or worse they did not get to hear these messages. Many of these heavy vehicle drivers have a very dont-give-a-shit cavalier type attitude when they are on the road. The punishment for them should be more severe if it could be proven that they caused death or serious injury because of their recklessness or gross negligence.There are many known hotspots where these vehicles are driven at excessive speeds and something should be done about this.

The lack of tough laws actually breeds a lot of road bullies. I have seen more and more idiots who beat the red lights, does not give way at zebra crossings and overshot their stopping point at traffic lights. Be careful when you are out cycling with your love ones.
