Mr Iswaran ACKNOWLEDGE that Traffic Police need a bigger presence on the roads...For some time now there has been many feedback that we need more Police presence in our streets and roads but our ministars were deaf or worse they did not get to hear these messages. We know what the situation is like on the ground. Sinkapore is no longer safe no thanks to the large presence of foreigners in our midst. Now people think twice about going into dark areas. For our roads, we have to endure the endless throng of trucks and heavy vehicles. This is on top of reckless taxi drivers and the construction works on our roads. Every driver is stressed. So Mr Iswaran, make sure Nigel and Donavan's death are not in vain. U certainly have to take responsibility for what happened.

Many of these heavy vehicle drivers have a very dont-give-a-shit cavalier type attitude when they are on the road. The punishment for them should be more severe if it could be proven that they caused death or serious injury because of their recklessness or gross negligence.There are many known hotspots where these vehicles are driven at excessive speeds and something should be done about this.
Might as well not have an motorised vechicles. Confirmed no motor accident!

1. die in road accident - for the roads to become safer
2. die of HIV - for Geylang and all the unlicensed activities to be cleaned up
3. commit suicide because of gambling debts - for the govt to realise the insidious negative social impact of the casinos
4. murdered by rogue FTs' - for the govt to realise that they need to properly assimilate new aliens to the country

Exactly my point. These road bullies should be punished harshly by the authorities if they cause deaths or serious injuries because of their dangerous driving. Too many fatal accidents caused by these idiot drivers will eventually result in road rage incidents again.The mood is very bad against them at this moment.
The lack of tough laws actually breeds a lot of road bullies. I have seen more and more idiots who beat the red lights, does not give way at zebra crossings and overshot their stopping point at traffic lights. Be careful when you are out cycling with your love ones.
It is the miw that allowed these road bullies to thrive. Not a single minister and chief justice make even a whimp when so many road killers got away with manifestly light sentences.
If the society's justice system only sentences murder to one month jail, you can expect murder rate to shoot up multiple folds. This is exactly what happened for road killers.
Yes and some of these bastards tailgate too.
The laws will change only if a few 'important ' people get killed by these type of bastard drivers. Until then ordinary folks like you and me have to just pray and hope that we or our loved ones dont get murdered by these road bullies.
