Is SPP Chairman Sin Kek Tong a PAP stooge to break SPP from within ?

i am from potong pasir,,,,,,,,,, frankly Sitoh does not look half bad now.

Lina, Chiam's wife, can eat herself,,,,

Desmond, trying to bring the malay to oust CST, can fuck himself,,,,,

now Sin CB,,,,, KNN, Potong Pasir I think, the voters will take a break now and all these idiots can dance, sing and cha cha and no one here will give a bloody fuck

I heard rumours that Sin's outburst is because Chiam and Lina are both getting ready to cross over to Reform Party when GE is called.

Sin is rather unhappy because he cannot cross over as he may not be selected for CCK by RP if he joins Chiam or even not fielded.

I want to qualify again that they are mere rumours. However, it makes sense as I unable to connect how Sin's expose of Chiam connects to his candidacy in CCK, other than this reason.

It's been quite clear. CST has announced he shall contest Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC in 50/50 anticipation of ED drawing Potong Pasir (now only half the population of a standard SMC) to B-TP. Announcing first is better than get accused of being reluctant but being forced to later.

CST has problem raising the manpower for that with all his party internal problems. KJ made it quite clear. RP is not going to join SDA or merge with SPP. RP doesn't even really need B-TP, it's a new party with no established base yet and lots of choices to venture in and explore.

I believe CST didn't consider this (joining RP) until recently when it looked like there was no way RP will ever be able to enter SDA and any hope the SDA composition will change (since SPP, SJP and PKMS cannot or will not leave SDA). Changing parties have become easier for Chiam after being seasoned to the heartbreak of leaving SDP. Sin, however, is left fuming because he is a lightweight (his own fault since he commits and contributes very little to the opposition or political cause - not the $ part).

RP was prepared to join SDA if his 11 conditions were met. After all, that would give KJ powers in SDA that even exceeds the power he has in RP. It is true that KJ doesn't bother with BTP - it's Chiam he wants. After the applause Chiam received at the TOC forum, which KJ was also there, KJ's view that Chiam is still an asset will be renewed.

Yes, KJ is only interested in CST, not SDA or SPP.

Sigh... seems like there are more blacksheeps than decent opposition candidates. Doesn't make sense at all to have so many Opp parties in SG.

RP, WP, SPP... how about RWSP !

Here we go again!

Squabbling over 1 possible seat. Oooi! How about the other 83 seats?

Small mind, small think!

SINGAPORE - The rift between Potong Pasir Member of Parliament Chiam See Tong and his former right-hand man Desmond Lim (picture) looks set to deepen, after the latter engaged a lawyer to defend him in disciplinary proceedings initiated against him.

Colin Ng & Partners' Peter Low, a former Law Society president, will be representing Mr Lim. MediaCorp understands that a lawyer's letter was sent to Mr Chiam on Wednesday.

On Dec 6, the Singapore People' Party (SPP) central executive committee had sent Mr Lim a letter detailing nine charges against him, including the allegation that Mr Lim had made defamatory remarks about Mr Chiam in an October newspaper article over the issue of the Reform Party (RP) joining the Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA).

SERIOUSLY, Sitoh really have a good chance in Potong Pasir,,,,,,,,,,,

KNNB,,,,,,,, can vote for dogs and monkeys, but to vote for clowns like demond and Sin or even Lina,,,,,,,,,, Kan

I think this time PAP will win back Potong Pasir convincingly that leave SDA & SPP without a seat in the Parliament :(

Reform Party is too new to really challenge for anything :)

Only Worker Party to retain Hougang seat and probably challenge to win a downsized GRC or another single seat ward ;)

Have to agree with you on the first. How the opposition behaves online is one matter, but when it goes to the mainstream media, that's it. Especially if it is one after another and this is Chiam's second round after SDP.

Similarly, RP captured imaginations as a new hope, but is too new to non-political voters to gain their trust.

WP still retains a brand name among the latter but challenges new frontiers too little due to desire for stability and causes a level of stagnation.

Eh, what about NSP, you forgot about them?:o

we don't need many but quality oppositions in parliament.

if we can have only 1 oppo in parliament, who could that be?
it should be him.
1) he is willing to go to jail for the sake of Singaporeans.
2) he is not afraid to use a loudhailer to shout at the current Prime Minister to demand for Singaporeans' blood and sweat money.
3) the single seat constituency he once contested, the votes he won is still the oppositions record high there till today.

who is this politician?

I will build up the suspense and slowly reveal his identify in subsequent postings. ;)

If you have one quality opposition MP in Parliament waxing lyrical, PAP still passes all laws it wants with 83:1.

If you have 30 or so opposition MPs to vote against PAP in Parliament, at least they can't change the Constitution at will.

If you have 50 or so opposition MPs, they won't be opposition any more. PAP becomes the opposition.

Anyway, election is about voting people into Parliament, not into jail.

If you have only one opposition in Parliament he'll be ineffective unless Parliament has only 3 seats.

For Oppositions to win 29 seats to deny PAP a two-thirds majority is still impossible to happen in coming General Election.

At best is to hope Oppositions win more than 2 current seats :p

Makes sense. Either that or the same thing that happened to Desmond is going to happen to him.
