Serious Is forbidding husband and wife working in the same company legal ?

I'm told McDonald's does not allow husband and wife to work in the same company. It sounds strange to me, and I wonder if there is indeed such a policy in Singapore, if so, whether it's legal.

Some companies don't allow husband n wife to work in the same company. N funny is alot of couples meet at work. N when married one had to resign. As long as the immediate dept or section has a hierarchy and not family owned virtually all companies with a board do not allow it. They will transfer to other Depts within the company.

Other colleagues. I am sure for McDonalds it means the same branch and not the company.

Married couples are not allowed in the same department, section, or even division when they have one. If a there is a confirm couple working in the same location, management will quietly ship either one out to another location.
