can we already seen the beauty or more precisely the ugliness of this cpf thing? it's suppose to be for everyone - a forced retirement saving but now it is being contorted to be so complicated that i think the majority are lost and wondering how much could they get back or maybe it would just be trickle of money which is completely negligible for any retirement at all.

in simple term: there is NO retirement in singapore. u work until u die. meanwhile try not to fall sick or else the other common term applies: you die, your business or can die but cannot sick.

Same like every 4 or 5 years redrawing the Electoral Boundaries for General Election and everytime have new SMCs and GRCs.One day u are in Anson SMC,the next day u are in Tg Pagar GRC ! WTF ! Might as well have 1 big GRC ,87 PAP candidates vs 87 Opposition candidates.So no need every GE have to check u are in which constituency .

It's not so much an analogy as one being the cause (gerrymeandering to stay in power) and the other is the effect (cpf policies including goalpost shifting).
The main problem is that for some reason, they don't see the purpose of government as making the lives of ordinary singaporeans better.
It's some other thing for them, building a solid future, making the country stronger financially, or whatever.
They are simply not bothering to address the issues that existing people face. Totally lost touch and lost the plot.

They make money by 100% - 2% pays your CPF interests, 98% goes to accumulated profit fund, plus their profit sharing, bonuses etc. They loose money by 100%, 80% goes to us...20% goes to offset their accumulated profits etc...ha ha ha , it is lost sharing! ha ha ha ha

It is not empty. They are trying their utmost best to defer from giving us back !! The retirement age/withdrwal age, I will not be surprsied will be increased to 70 or 75.

The only thing we poorer citizens can do is to vote them out in 2016. There is no other way.

Unless you can wake up the 60%...then it is a dream for many of us...2015 will be "marketing" milestone for them, a lot of freebies to 'buy' the 60% hearts & remind them that the last 50 years, they had a good time & the next 50..will be better.

Try waking them up!! 2015 is the 50th Anniversary of SINgapura!
