It's cultural lah. In the past, children were seen as assets. Having a family gave Sinkies purpose in their lives. Now, children are regarded as liabilities: the fewer, the better. Setting up a family has become a hindrance to a Sinkie's career. "I want to earn more money first" is a common refrain among young Sinkies these days.
