Don't talk cock. Quick show me.

The percentage is already there - 35% satisfied. As pathetic that percentage might seem, it is actually helped by the Malay. Remove Malay along with Ah Beng's favourite past-time - "Sex with Prostitutes'... the percentage will be a lot lower than Hong Kong's 29%.

If it wasn't for the PAP, the people of Hougang would be jobless and homeless. LTK has done nothing to make Singapore better. It takes more than listening to whinging sinkies, kissing babies and attending funerals to make a country tick.

Hougang would function a lot more efficiently if it was run by a PAP MP. They're the best!

The PAP is the govt. In addition, the PAP pretty much own most of Singapore thanks to the astute investment skills of the PAP matriarch Mdm Ho Ching who happens to be one of the most powerful women in the world.

Local and overseas companies invest in Singapore because they have the full confidence that the PAP will make their investments grow exponentially. If LTK became PM, foreign investment would dry up within a week.

Firstly , you are NOT LTK. So you do not know what is his mindset.

Secondly, PAP has alot of Dog Runners cum Slaves of course it would be the best. And on top of that, upgrading project money comes from WE taxpayers.

Thirdly, Mdm Ho Ching one of the most powerful women ?? BUT unfortunately YOU are WRONG. Temasek Holdings has LOST Billions of dollars previous.
http://theonlinecitizen.com/2009/07/breaking-news-40-billion-losses-by-temasek-holdings/

IF you want more proof, just flip through the OLD NEWS PAPER.

And Mdm Ho ching is wife of LHL. So No big deal. It is all connections. Without LHL you think Mdm Ho Ching can make it as CEO of temasek Holdings ?

Lastly, you are the Administrator of Sammyboy forum ?? Your Attitude and Mindset is WRONG... Ban me if you want.

Next time, if you want to argue or debate, make sure you answer properly , give actual FACTS and NOT assumptions.

Invite you to Temasekreview.com IF you dare. I am sure you will be the MINORITY PAP Supporter...

It is PITY that you have NOT yet wake up....Few years ago, I was like you before...a Die Hard Supporter for PAP...But TIME has change...It is NO longer the same as before.... PAP is becoming bad to WORSE.

You want facts? Here's the bottom line :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_%28PPP%29_per_capita

Singapore ranks in the top 5 in all the lists.

If the PAP was incompetent, corrupt and run by stooges and running dogs with no talent, do you think the country would be able to chalk up such stellar performances on a regular basis?

You may not like your ministers. You may not agree with what they say. You may resent their arrogance. However, you can't tell me that they don't know how to run a country. The FACTS speak for themselves.

When LTK and the rest of those opposition clowns can conjure up a grand plan that shows how the country can become even more prosperous under their charge, they'll get my vote. Instead, all the opposition can come up with are some airy fairy motherhood statements.

You gotta to be brand new to this forum. Firstly you got to read between the lines.

THis forum has been existence since 1999 albeit with a change in platforms. That is coming to 12 years. It is the first forum that has consistently attacked the PAP mercilessly since its inception. There are handful of PAP clowns in this forum with the vast majority who are either are vehemently anti-establishment or objective in their way they target their criticism.

This forum has exposed more damaging details about the PAP then any. TR tends to quote from this forum.

Common sense will tell you that it does not make sense for a PAP supporter to run a forum that regularly exposes PAP deep dark secrets and runs the party down.

Sam however has one affliction - the desire to take the naive for rides. Its called yanking the chain. Satire and sarcasm are part and parcel o fhtis forum.
Watch as he beliitle the chinese chauvinist with degoratory comments about Chinese and vice versa with the other races. The slows ones still have not cottoned on that he is ribbing them.

As to TR, its founder started life in this forum as a PAP lackey and decided that he will get more hits if he was critical of the PAP. His story is another issue.

Invite you to Temasekreview.com IF you dare. I am sure you will be the MINORITY PAP Supporter...

Satire and sarcasm are part and parcel of this forum.

Forget the satire part. What do you think of what I consider to be rock solid reasons for supporting the PAP. Look at all the verifiable stats with regards to the economy. Examine the sales figures in the luxury and super exotic car market. You cannot deny that when it comes to wealth creation, the PAP has been extremely successful.

PAP detractors counter this argument by pointing out the ever widening income gap. However, my contention is that it is not the government's job to subsidise the losers and lazy bumbs of society. The govt's job is to create an environment where the smart, the hardworking and the capable can maximise their returns. The PAP scores very high marks if this yardstick is used.

If Singaporeans are a caring lot, they can put their money where their mouth is and set up NGOs to help the less fortunate of society. There is no need to wait for the govt to take charge of ALL aspects of society. For example, those who care for the homeless can set up a "homeless foundation", organise fund raising, create refuge centres and formulate solutions to the problem. That's what many Western Nations do.

Take it easy, no need to froth at the mouth when things are pointed out and you look silly. Bigger fonts, with varied colours etc does not make you look better or your arguments valid.

So why do you think that TR is closing down. Guess what happen to the donations that are less smart and more naive have contributed. Note that this forum has never ever asked for donations. Why is that. Maybe you like to take a cruise to Panama to meet Molina Han. As to Alexa ranking, you do realise that Porn outstrips all these rankings. You do realise that this is the same chap that sabotaged WP during one of their events. You remind me one of one of those who generously gave to NKF as the figures looked good.

Open your eyes. Realise that the PAP can get away only when they have more naive and impressionable people like you who can't tell the difference between black and white.

WP's Low may not contest a GRC

Victory not guaranteed, he says

By Andrea Ong

OPPOSITION leader Low Thia Khiang has dropped the strongest hint yet that he will remain in Hougang instead of contesting a GRC in the coming polls.

He said in an interview published on Friday in Shin Min Daily News that a victory is not guaranteed even if he was helming the team in the GRC battle.

Asked if he would personally lead a team to increase the party's chances of winning a GRC, the Workers' Party chief said: 'Do you think that's guaranteed even if I go to a GRC? Does it mean voters will definitely vote for me? It may not be the case, right?'

In contrast, the opposition veteran and long-time MP of Hougang has built 'chemistry' with voters there, he said.

His comments on Friday mean he may be backing down from remarks he made last month that he is considering a move to a GRC. He has also previously said it is crucial for the opposition to win a GRC this election if it hopes to grow and renew its leadership. The WP also aims to win at least one GRC this election.

Dear Sam,

The devil is in the details.

Why are you comparing Singapore which is a city, with entire countries?

Are you surprised that urbanites make more than farmers? Don't be, because it is the same all over the world.

The benchmarks for Singapore is not Japan or Taiwan or Korea, but Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Seoul, etc.

Singapore in the top 5 richest countries in the world? Maybe, but if we moved Singapore to South Korea, we would not be the richest city there. Ulsan would be.

Instead of comparing Singapore with Germany, we should be benchmarking against Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, etc. Why leave the cow farmers of Franconia or the pickled cucumber growers of the Spreewald in the calculations?

Instead of US, try Washington DC, San Jose, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, etc. What do we gain by comparing ourselves to those living in the more fly-blown parts of the Mississippi Delta or the New Mexico deserts?

Apples should be compared with apples. Why are we comparing apples with orange juice or grape candy or mixed fruit ice jelly?

In fact, if there were to be a 'Champion's League' of cities and only the 32 best performing cities in the world (as measured by either GDP per capita or, more fairly, by median income), there is a strong chance that Singapore will not qualify. We would be outclassed even by non 'global hubs' like Copenhagen, Abu Dhabi, Uhlsan, Sydney, Bern, Oslo, Vienna, etc.

Rather than playing in the Champion's league, we would be in the next league down - the Europa League and by no means favoured to win. The only sure-fire guarantee is that our team's football managers, have jobs-for-life and are paid between 500-1000% more than the managers of the football teams that actually did qualify for the Champion's League.

Continuing with the football analogy, Singapore would be Glasgow Rangers and our football manager would be paid 500% more than Jose Mourinho.

If that is not greed and paying far too much for too little, then what is?
