I bought a pair of $20 shoes from decathlon and I use them for walking exercises daily

If you're walking, buy good walking shoes.

Decathlon stuff is more of a 'cheap, buy, use and throw' type. Some bags and shorts or even swimwear might be value for money. But other things, including footwear, there are better options elsewhere. Even Bata is better, you might see sales at Bata every now and then.

I was there when the first Decathlon opened in Chai Chee, near Bedok. Now there's no more novelty.
A pair of good shoe is good for your feet especially if your weight >60kg, u may unwittingly injured your leg and knee cap due to excessive shock

Somehow, every ActiveSG center has become a Zu Mountain outpost. Warriors wander in and out with badminton swords proudly strapped to their backs, giving off strong Ancient Tomb School vibes—despite being fully kitted out in the latest Yonex and Victor battle robes. :sneaky:

Only if you are a gian png loser who cares about their app or 'fitness tracker'.

When you walk, enjoy the journey, the sights and the sounds. Don't obsess about how many steps you've walked.

Many low SES folks go to Anyhow Fitness gyms. It's a tier above ActiveSG gyms.

You can try walking about 40km. I walked from the west till the Jurassic Mile and then Changi Airport Terminal 4. Getting through the sectors (A, B, C, D...) of East Coast Park as you move eastwards was challenging.

Or get to Paya Lebar MRT area, then go southwards along Haig Road until you reach Marine Parade, then continue eastwards along East Coast Park. You skip the first two sectors A and B.

How long did it take you in total to walk from the west all the way to the Jurassic Mile and then to Changi Airport Terminal 4?

Late morning till about 6pm.

Marina Bay - Gardens by the Bay East - East Coast Park route.

Sunlight is great for you. All kinds of health problems happen when you don't get exposure to sunlight. Pay no attention to the 'skin cancer' fearmongering.
Did you get yourself a well deserved massage by ATB after the long walk ?

Hours taken is like walking from Kranji Station to Tanjong Pagar via the Rail Corridor.

You don't need to walk long distance. I saw people running up Bukit Timah Hill wearing a backpack.

Older folks can walk up with large strides.
