The Kpop and Jpop dance moves are so sissy. And if modern western pop bands exhibit this, it is probably reversed cultural influence at work, in the opposite direction. Kpop copies the earlier Jpop which did copied some moves from western pop at that time.

I remember the early days of Harajuku. But group bands with synchronous dancing had evolved and is a bigger thing than any, Far Eastern or Western, that has gone before.

You are right dance moves in the west have obviously moved on and they are the ones that do original dance moves with new influences from many cultures. I still think that the blacks are still at the fore front of creating new dance moves. Japan is the only asian nation that incorprates new fashion but they also copy that from the west or to a lesser extent some other culture.

One of the way to enjoy Kpop is to look out for the group members when they do appear on variety shows. It shows the member personality and also endears them to the general public.

It's totally a wrong assumption on your part that people who expressed views that are different from the PAP are automatically left wing liberals. Nor are they necessarily anti-PAP. This forum and many other online forums provide a platform for them to highlight certain wrong thinking on the part of the PAP in coming up with their policies. They know what they expressed along this line will never see the light of day in the mainstream media, so they come here and others. And hopefully their views would offer some alternative perspectives to the forum visitors who would never be able to read about such things in the mainstream media. In fact, the people who are wasting time here on this forum and the likes are those who post the very same things that the PAP had already saturate the mainstream media with. Who wants to read them over and over again when the mainstream media had been bombarded us the same things over and over again. Least of where they want to read what the PAP had said is at online forums like these.

The iPhone may be popular but it's crap. There are more dropped calls on an iPhone that any other brand. I've never owned an iPhone and never will. My cycling buddy has an iPhone and he's gone through 3 of them while I still have my trusty 5 year old Motorola. You need to keep up with the times. The iPhone is good at being a toy. It doesn't work that well as phone. Everybody knows that. So should you.

PAP may not give a shit about what's written here but my concern is that people who don't know much about Singapore will end up getting a completely distorted picture about the country.

Before someone visits a place, the first thing they do is to jump on the web and do some research. If they end up here and start reading the bullshit crap that you write, they'll draw conclusions about Singapore which are absolutely wrong. I therefore have to step in on a regular basis to provide a more balanced picture regarding what the country is all about.

The lyrics may be Jap or Korean but it's all Western Music because the tune is composed from semitones.

Proper Japanese music has no beat and often has negative space (ma) forming part of the composition.
The choreography isn't original either. The dance moves are simply a mish mash of Michael Jackson moves with Hip Hop and a bit of Irish footwork thrown in for good measure.
It's absolutely disgraceful that the East simply cannot come up with something more original and closer to their cultural roots.
