Putting Women at the front line is a big mistake. Unless they inject male hormones into them or use some limb gadgets that amplifies their strength.
PRC fought a low intensity war along sino Vietnam borders from 1978 to late 1980s. The military commission rotated many units at battalions level in that conflict to let the commanders gain experience of fighting in forest highlands with nonexistent roads and without heavy equipments. Many of current corps and armies senior commanders fought as platoon and company commanders during that period. Human waves or mass infantry attacks are things of the past. Deng Xiaoping saw the 91 Kuwait war on CNN and get on to modernize the PLA.
I personally think the Indian army have more men than PLA, especially PLA has a lot of non combatants in its rolls. And there only one division of mountain troops compare to many Indian mountain brigades. Which is why the Indians very confident. Then again they were very confident in 1961 too.
But it no use to compare numbers of men or equipments. I believe the outcome of a conflict in the roof of the world depends on which side can keep the supplies flowing that decide the outcome.

Hamid then wrote that China's one-child policy is "seriously hurting the motivation level of our Chinese brothers." He added, "We Pakistani support you China. Stay Brave." Although Pakistan is an 'all-weather' ally of China, Hamid appeared to be mocking the soldiers.
