Well I think that is an excellent idea. Not of forming a party but of standing as an independent. Gain the experience for this election and then take your time to form a party for the next election. You may or may not enjoy the political process but at least you are living your intention and you can use the coming election to gauge the level of fit.
There are NCMP posts up for grabs so you don't even need to win. However try to get back your deposit.
All the best to your endeavours. You stand to win a $900,000 contract.
PS: it is just my impression but you came across to me as a naive person. Sometimes you can succeed despite this because you dare to try and the time is right. Hence just be careful in your speech (and I think you already have that quality).
PS: come the 9 days of campaigning, i do not think that the political parties will be offering solutions. That will appeal to the mind and logical arguments will be undesirable. They are more likely to talk about how bad the PAP is, how oppressed we are and how our lives are bad under them. Then position themselves as the solution. People then voted with their hearts, in anger at the PAP. A time tested strategy that can get you back your deposit. To move further than that?....you need a bit more to get the undecided to your side. That's the tricky part. I doubt anyone has a tested answer.
