How about AV for SG?

No, there is only one political party in Singapore that could have enough candidates for the whole island. For this to work, you need another political party to be able to swap votes to. The idea, versus First Past the post, is such that minor, but still substantial parties with enough votes could influence the outcome of an election giving them a substantial voice in their political view. Until you have a strong enough opposition to do this, its a waste of time and money.

sg oni interested in japan's kind of av! ... :o

Heh for a moment I thought the same on the title. To that question, yes, there is no reason why SG can't have its own AV industry. There are many starlets, directors that have the skills and experienced to tackle it. JackNeo, in "Honey not enough", Riz Low in "Boomzzz, I did it again."
