Sam, why you only target these places?
Because they're all shit holes.

If the wussie South Vietnamese had been able to fight their own damned battles, the yanks could have saved themselves heaps of trouble.
Thank goodness they managed to save half of Korea. Those with Samsung phones/TVs and Hyundai cars should bow to the yanks in gratitude.
The Americans relied on S. Vietnam as their military base. They supported an unpopular leader and the Americans thought they were fighting against Ho Chi Minh who they believe was a communist. The N. Vietnamese were nationalists fighting to take over their country from imperialist America.
This 360 degree view of Hiroshima shows the full effects of an atomic bomb.

Looks fantastic! They should drop a few of those on the Middle East, China and India. The world would be a much nicer place once the dust settles.
These fucking western countries talk about human rights all the time. Opium war, atomic bombing, gassing. All are by them. What a freakibg bunch of hypocrites
Whether the yanks should've used the A-Bomb will always be a topic of debate.
From the yank's point of view, they find justification in saying it'll save lots of American lives seeing the resistance they encountered upon invading Okinawa (imagine facing the mainland hordes!).
My own view is that they wanted to show the Red Army what they have and to stay out of Japan as the Soviets had already amassed armies at the Sea of Japan.
WW2 put an end to colonial rule. It got all the colonial powers fighting each other over the resources of the colonies. Asia and Africa should be happy at that.
Cheers!
Word play is a good tactic in a debate. The term "nationalist" can be adopted by both ends of the political spectrum.
America fights wars for the same reason that any other country does and that is to defend their national interests and their way of life.
You so happy 911 hit twin tower. Many nationality kill in that building. Is not right to hit civilian.
What I hope that is someone sink the US Aircraft carrier all 11 in one day.

US claims Pearl Harbour attack was a day that would go down in infamy. Fuck, Pearl Harbour was a military base, WTF were their guards doing? Nagasaki and Hiroshima - mostly civilian population. But those Nips turned Nanking upside down too, well, serves 'em right.
Vietnam is a country for us all to admire. Ho Chi Minh's guerilla tactics won the war against the mighty US imperialsists, the mightiest nation on Earth. Way to go Vietnam!!
Cheers!
As for Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I think that US should be accorded some credit for humane benevolence and strategic prudence. It could easily have been Tokyo and Osaka.
u.s. did not lose the war. we just abandoned vietnam to take care of their own after beefing up their fighting forces. and the abandonment coincided with the watergate scandal and political fallout back home. it was the corrupt moronic ineffective regime of south vietnam that lost the war.
Fair view. Pearl Harbor was a naval base and US should know better to be on guard since they blockaded Japanese shipping lines. As for Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I think that US should be accorded some credit for humane benevolence and strategic prudence. It could easily have been Tokyo and Osaka. US objective wasn't to destroy or conquer Japan, just to subdue it completely. At war, calculated sacrifices have to be made. Enough to make Japan surrender unconditionally, but not too much as to create another mass of chaos that couldn't be cleaned up.
US lost the war, period. Don't be blinded by their propaganda. The lost of many American lives was too high a cost for conducting a protracted war and it was not worth it. It was also confirmed that the Americans initiated the war in the Gulf Of Tonkin. The amount of bombs they rained on Vietnam was more than what were used by the warring nations during WW2, yet they could not defeat the N. Vietnamese.
wtf is "their propaganda"? this is my propaganda. the south vietnamese lost the war for the u.s. just like iraq and afghanistan will do the same thing in a few years. corrupt foreign fed regimes with no ground swell and local mandate cannot last forever and will eventually topple to civil war and/or revolt.
in the european theater, americans were indiscreet in daylight bombings. british bombers would avoid historic and heritage sites such as castles, palaces, churches and very old towns. americans would bomb the shit out of everything. if you are in germany, you would notice 'historic' facades still standing at the mouths of railway tunnels. the facades were put up to deter allies from targeting tunnel entrances which were vulnerable chokes for rail transport.
I can understand that US soldiers, sailors and pilots were on a shooting Space Invaders arcade game mentality as long as they don't see blood too closely or too frequently, they'd carry on their game shooting according to command. They were defeated in Vietnam because they were in a battlefield where they saw blood too closely and too frequently, especially of their own. The Jews and others aside, the British and Germans when fighting heads on, fought a gentlemen's war. The British POWs were well treated and the British deads were covered in Union Jack (British flag) by the Germans, and vice versa. Ever wonder why English are called Anglo-Saxons? Anglo means people of Angle and that means England and Saxony is in Germany. They were just distant cousins quarreling. Happened that both sides were powerful enough to spark two world wars dragging in lots of collateral damages.
