To make it, put some in a pan, pour boiling water to just cover it and leave it to rest for 5 min. Then place it on the cooker for 2 mins on light heat. Then use a fork to fluff it up. And you have it. Very easy.

light dressing is ok.....i normally have my salad undressed. :eek:

I just prepared one last week and the family enjoyed it. A change from our usual fare of family meals which are not too healthy in my opinion.
 
You should visit couple of cities and get a feel. I always tell people that to go for the climate, the infrastructure, the services, the space, the oppostunities, the land and the fresh air. The rest you can adjust. If you are an introvert, it becomes your castle, your sanctity and your little piece of paradise. If you prefer to be with your own kind, there are suburbs and neighbours that can provide it. There are even top schools that have a lot of Asians etc. Know a bright chap who gave it all up and moved to Tasmania and grew his own food. He was heavy into humans rights and just gave up. Same year as Kishore Mahbubani. Became a hermit of sorts. In Singapore, he probably selling tissue paper.

Whatever it is head to a first world country and start a new life. Create options and opportunities for your family and yourself.

I don't like Australia. It is too white, racially and culturally. There are places exactly like this all over America too, except they have a lot more colour in them and the music (soul, r&b, latin pop) is better too.

I have the same problem. Thats why its called rabbit food. The dressings are the killer. There are lots of healthy option. Chinese food is actually healthy when it is not fried.

I cannot eat raw veges without something to spice it up. I will just throw up each them raw or even boiled.

The problem with commercial salad dressing is that it includes unnecessary & unhealthy ingredients such as hydrogenated oils, sugar, msg, artificial flavours, etc.

If you must use salad dressing, a healthier option is to make your own using organic cold pressed like olive oils, hemp oil, flax seed oil, etc & add various spices. Just Google for the sites if you want recipes of healthy salad dressings, such as http://cheaphealthygood.blogspot.com/2008/04/cheap-healthy-salad-dressing-102-light.html

I have found that when I make spaghetti, adding plain hemp oil to the spaghetti improves it's taste. So you don't have to get too fancy to get the benefits of healthy oils.

Ah i see. Might i ask what camera were you using? I can read the words on the chalk board but it still isn't too clear in fact comparable to my galaxy note's 8mb camera.

You're confusing resolution with image quality. They are two entirely different parameters. If you want to discuss photography, go to the other thread.

Don't forget to stick to healthier cold press oils. Try to avoid the engineered oils you find in the supermarket: corn oil, rape seed, peanut,...etc These oils have been engineered for long shelf life & not for human consumption.

If I need to cook I use virgin coconut oil. However for veggies I usually eat it raw or use a steamer.

My steamer lasted me 5 years but the plastics are breaking up. Any suggestions for one that is better than Tefal brand?
