What about COQ10?

For CoQ10, there's the cheaper oxidized (unbiquinone ketone) form and the more expensive reduced (ubiquinol secondary alcohol) form, which is invariably manufactured by Kaneka then licensed out to many different supplement brands.

Either form can be a hit-or-miss with your personal genetics & biochemistry in terms of usefulness. Personally, CoQ10 didn't do much for me, and indeed the more expensive ubiquinol form possibly (I have many medical conditions simultaneously, so can't always narrow down precisely what caused what) caused me some severe stomach upsets sometimes.

https://mentalhealthdaily.com/2016/08/19/ubiquinol-side-effects-adverse-reactions-list/

Stomach aches: A side effect that may occur among those supplementing with ubiquinol is stomach aches. The stomach aches experienced from ubiquinol are most likely to occur among persons taking ubiquinol on an empty stomach. Sometimes the constituents within ubiquinol such as oils can irritate the lining of the gastrointestinal tract to induce pain throughout the stomach region, possibly accompanied by other reactions (e.g. constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, etc.).

The most obvious way to minimize susceptibility to stomach aches as a side effect of ubiquinol is to administer it after eating a large meal. Also ensure that you’re drinking plenty of water and aren’t supplementing with an unnecessarily high dose. Stomach aches could also be related to an anxiogenic reaction to ubiquinol in which a user might notice an increase in his/her anxiety, and this anxiety may induce a stomach ache (rather than the ubiquinol).

If your stomach aches become severe from ubiquinol, it makes sense to discontinue it for awhile until you feel better. Additionally, after you discontinue for awhile, you can always reinstate supplementation with a low dose and/or using another ubiquinol supplement to determine if it’s more tolerable. In most cases, stomach aches are of mild intensity, easily managed, and may even diminish as the body adapts to supplementation.

bro can summarize? TLDW.

The video is worth your time watching (just like the Books on Reincarnation are worth everyone's time reading).

Super short summary : the well-researched (with multiple medical research references) video gives evidence that the simplified modern idea of unsaturated vegetable oils being healthier (ie. cardiovascular health) than saturated animal fats is not only wrong, but in fact the opposite is true.

Heart disease skyrocketed only after modern society started replacing dietary saturated animal fats with unsaturated vegetable oils (mostly due to industrial profit-making reasons) because that's what doctors wrongly advocated to society (not totally their fault, they were also misled themselves). And so today, most people are being fed misleading & wrong information about what's healthy and what's not, dietary speaking.

The video also briefly explores a couple of biochemical mechanisms why (shocking to most people), unsaturated vegetable oils are actually worse for cardiovascular health than saturated animal fats.

And meanwhile, the real causative factors of cardiovascular disease (of which the video lists several, which are now given increasing attention in new medical research), are not given due awareness, and most people in society today just stubbornly & foolishly stick to the wrong idea of unsaturated vegetable oils versus saturated animal fats as the cause of cardiovascular disease.

Regarding unsaturated vegetable oils versus saturated animal fats, for the record (just so no one misunderstands), the #1 healthiest cooking oil is still Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (and this is also briefly mentioned in the video).

Again, even many health conscious folks (including here on Sammyboy) have the wrong idea that Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil can not be used for cooking or it becomes even more toxic than normal cooking oils. That's a harmful erroneous myth, and has been debunked by medical research.

If everyone uses Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil for all their cooking needs, the rates of cardiovascular disease with plummet for all of society.

Someone should tell Lee Hsien Loong to subsidize (or even sponsor) Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil for all hawker stalls (or even all eateries) in Singapore. Although this will cost the Singapore government many millions initially, but the cost-savings to society (both directly medical bills and indirectly economic productivity, and government health/medical expenditures) will eventually run into the billions.

So olive oil no good?

Olive oil is the BEST oil in the world amongst all vegetable oils for all types of cooking (from eating raw on salads to deep frying, of course deep frying isn't as healthy as stir frying in the 1st place), and the healthiest form of olive oil is "cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil" (ie. healthier than just extra virgin, virgin, light and normal olive oil types). Of course, the healthiest is also the most expensive, but your health is worth it, isn't it?

Two ways to reduce cholesterol one lose weight two drink green tea and eat an apple everyday which will lead back to one...for those who are actively screwing cholesterol is still important somewhat as testosterone is still derived from fats

It's true different brands are of different levels of trustworthiness. This one no choice you got to do your own research. But whatever brand you buy (eg. from NTUC, Giant etc), make sure got "Cold Pressed Extra Virgin" label.

You can drink directly (as much as you can tahan, too much of any oil will make anyone vomit), or use it for cooking. Even for deep frying or grilling, "Cold Pressed Extra Virgin" is still healthier than normal oil (a lot of pple have misunderstanding on this, thinking "Cold Pressed Extra Virgin" is worse than normal oil when used for deep frying, this is a false myth, no matter raw or whatever kind of cooking, "Cold Pressed Extra Virgin" is ALWAYS healthier than normal oil).
