Hi all,

The arrows point to the 3 unit implant bridge which was installed a few days back at the dental clinic.

The problem is, to me, the colour of it doesn't match the colour of the surrounding real teeth to the left and right. It seems off.

I am due to return to the clinic in a few days' time and I will tell the dentist about it. But I'm afraid if they won't do anything about it.

If the dentist refuses to do anything about it, what should I do?

I've been really stressed and fretting about it because it's been about 1 year and it all amounts to this, unsatisfactory final product. As you all know, it's also a very very expensive affair.

Any advice on how to move on from here will be appreciated.

Thank you Sirs.

The forummers are self proclaimed oral sex (not oral health) experts in their 70s .. wrong place to ask for dental advice

every tooth you have will be evenly yellow in a week

These set of teeth look like from a lady.
But it matches the colour of the upper jaw.

i'm a guy, but u also agree it doesn't match the lower teeth right?

i want it to match the lower teeth

is it possible to ask the dentist to redo it? it's not my fault at all isn't it?

i hope i don't have to pay to redo it

Should just fuck the bastard dentist who came up with such a shoddy piece of work. My dentist surgeon will actually take the time to pigment the bridge or implant to be consistent with the surrounding teeth before he let me inspect and finally insert with my approval. Name the fuck dental place that offered this service to shame them. Pretty sure the bridge cost u at least $4k and more.

The expense is in the implants not the false teeth. Just order some new teeth.

For the crown, the dentist ought to have matched the proper colour for you, based on your surrounding teeth. They have not done a good job, based on the fuzzy photo you posted.

I remember that time, few weeks ago, the dentist (who's a lady) held up 2 sample teeth for me to see and asked me to choose. That's all she did, with regards to helping me choose the colour.

So of course I had to choose 1.

That's all she did. She didn't do any other comprehensive checks like you mentioned.

I am seeing 2 clinics at the moment.

1 was this clinic with this auntie dentist which screwed this up for me. The other clinic is the specialist clinic which I went to for bone grafting + implant surgery.

I am thinking of going back to the specialist clinic tomorrow and let him know or see about this.

I'm sorry the photo is fuzzy. My phone camera sucks.

But you can see it's not matching right

Bloody stressed now

1 year of waiting and it all ends up like this

What should I do?

If that is to be done, how about the cost?

more importantly, am I going to have to bear the cost?

Find out the cost from another dentist and deduct the amount from your current dentist's bill.

When they make the crown, the pigment is mixed into the ceramic or porcelain-based material. This is to give it a permanent and homogeneous colouration. Were they this colour on day one? Looks like your dentist needs to have them remade.

I had implants done too. The colour matching was accurate.

I asked the auntie dentist what's the material, she said zirconia.

What you see in the picture is only days old. I only had these crowns installed few days ago.

If the dentist needs to remake it, first of all, who's going to bear the cost? Me?

And if she does so, how is she going to go about it?

What if she just does the same thing, simply hold up 2 sample teeth and ask me choose, that's all?

If that's what she is going to do, I am not doing it.

Because I am not going to do something which didn't work, twice. That's stupid, and would most probably end up unsatisfactory as well.

Why do the same mistake twice?

I always had no faith in her, it's my gut feeling. She's only a family dentist that kind.
