I have witness the sinkie aura before. it is very turned off and totally disgusted.
There's no such thing as Sinkie aura. Aura has no race and nationality. It's all about personal bearing and personality.

It happens everywhere in the world. The word is aura. If you have the aura, whatever race you are, whomsoever other race or same race will respect and treat you respectfully. Even armed robbers will pass you by and look for some other victims.
I beg to differ. Aura is fine and dandy. But 90% of PAP MPs look like fuck.
And I'll bash up 90% of them if not for the consideration that I'd be no match for the police. Real aura inspires respect without threat or fear, carrot or stick.
Asian service staff fawning over caucasians and female asian service staff speaking with a funny accent - I've seen and heard on many occasions. This is something a doctor friend in Gleneagles noticed over the last decade as more foreigners take up job in Singapore. He could not help but notice that Asian staff from India, PRC, Philippines, Myanmar would fawn over Caucasian patients but do not seem to display the same when it came to Asian patients. He also noticed this when the Caucasian patient did not bother or were rude. He said that it applied to both male and female asian staff.
If Asian are kind and good natured, then they would apply the same treatment to Asian patients. He could not help it. He said that he did not notice the same from Senior staff. He however that Sr Female staff tend to talk to Caucasian with an accent that they do not use when talking to locals.
people figuratively kow-tow to them.

The people who curse and swear at the PAP in this forum do exactly the same thing when they meet their Pappy MPs in real life. The bravado displayed on line evaporates quickly when there is eye contact.![]()

Maybe she thought you were complimenting her. Then I am the minority in this forum. Not that I have met my MP many times, but the one and only time I saw her, I told her smilingly: "You look like a super star surrounded by all your RC fans".
She replied with a awkward smile.
The only time I met my MP, I looked at him in the eyes and walked past him with my nose in the air. His hand was still outstretched as I walked past him. The RC mouths were gaping open. The people who curse and swear at the PAP in this forum do exactly the same thing when they meet their Pappy MPs in real life. Your point is still Asian service providers are in awe of Caucasian customers and make extra effort to speak better and more impressively, isn't it? I'm Asian. I don't feel such thing. If you feel it, all I can say is I feel sorry for you. Even Caucasians call me "Sir" and treat me properly when I'm in Europe or America.

It's not only towards ang mos. Anyone allegedly in some position of power would be fawned upon as well. Just look at how the majority of Sinkies treat their MPs and Ministers as though they are demi-gods. These political people are just doing their job; being paid very good money to do their job; without Sinkies they would be nothing.
It's right to treat everyone politely and with respect but fawning over ang mos or MPs or Ministers is just PATHETIC.

But not correct to say that fawning is an asian trait or that asians only fawn over caucasians. Some ang mohs are the champions at fawning over their bosses, caucasian or otherwise, or fawning over people who have power or authority over them.
Some asian service staff also fawn over other asians, especially if they think they are powerful and/or wealthy.
Perhaps it's more correct to say
"Fawning over caucasians for no apparent pragmatic reason - An Asian trait.
The first part you got right. Call you sir is not fawning. Do you know the meaning.
You should witness one of such scenes- when PAP MPs make a high profile visit (I am repeating myself for aren't all their visits to the heartlands high profile ones?!)to the neighbourhood wet markets, how people figuratively kow-tow to them.
It depends on the circumstance and tone of "Sir" when uttered. American police officer call the arrestee "Sir" too, as in "Sir, you're under arrest." Then proceed to bodysearch him and ready to bash him up at the slightest physical resistance or shoot him dead if he reaches for something that qualifies as a weapon.
If a Chinese with good bearing shows up at an American restaurant, the tone of a Caucasian waiter calling him "Sir, what'd like to have today" would be completely different. Want to call that "fawning?"
Accusation of inter-racial "fawning" is simply manifestation of racial inferiority complex.
